Game saying player needs unequipped before can sell...

I want to sell my Trout to get Soto, but I can't because the game says I need to unsquad or unequip him. He's not on any of my squads. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Take him out of your event lineup, even if you don't play events it still makes a lineup for you

Yea you have too take him out of your event lineup also I had same deal

You have too take out of event lineup also then it will work
