Is 98 Julio Rodriguez better than Trout?
-
I have Trout playing CF but with all the recent downgrade for him I’ve had to move him down the batting chart even. Is Rodriguez an upgrade over trout at this point of the game?
-
Yeah. I like MA Reynolds too. But really, just play with cards you like. There are so many good options right now
-
I got trout to P5 and in my own head announcements his nickname was “no doubt trout”, because he is just automatic. On my best squad he’s still CF batting 3rd.
I have been playing with others with all the content out, so fun to get different players in.
Awesome possum is correct….play with who you like, SDS proving numerous options to help get away from singular god squad for everyone.
-
Yes.... Trout doesn't match up well against righties. He is usable if you have him P5 and he is playing up that day. For me though, I think the JRod card is the best overall card in the game from a hitting perspective.
-
Buxton is in the convo...best CF defender in the game, elite speed/base stealer, elite arm and better power. His contact and vision keep him from being a no doubter best CF.
His LS still rakes for me
-
Wouldnt ya prefer J Rod All star card over the hrd? AS card just looks better overall, and hella cheaper
-
P5 Garrett Mitchell is still my CF and leadoff hitter. Hits enough and his defense is insane. I have been using the HR Derby Julio in Left Field and even there his defense is suspect so far.
I'm thinking Bearsfan might be on to something. May try out the Julio All Star in CF.
-
Check out the new Allstar Ohtani card too. Its way cheaper then his LS card, and better
-
Can't wait to try out that Julio Rodriguez HRD or All Star card. Buxton's All Star Game card is legit. I'm still enjoying having Jim Edmonds out there for his swing, MA Bryan Reynolds is amazing and don't sleep on George Springer Prime. What a massive bat he has.
Oh yeah and Garret Mitchell for his speed and contact.

It's hard to ignore the 124 power against both RHP and LHP. But his speed and defense better for his AS. Guess I'll have to try them both.
-
I just moved Garret Mitchell to LF and put AS Julio in CF and its worked great. I really wanted to like MA Reynolds and he just had bad luck with hits.

Remember the HRD J-Rod is boosted with hitting stats and not fielding because it's a card based on his Home Run Derby appearance.

Yes. So many good lefty SP. He’s better against them and has far superior defense. I’ll likely be using the 97 until we get a 99 Griffey/Mays/Mantle.

Jasson Dominguez says hello

I'm going with Dominguez in center. Him being a switch hitter at the top of the line up is quite valuable. He's also free of charge which makes it a no brainer for me. Give him a shot he's got a great swing IMO.

Man' just playing the conquest maps I have had an awful start with his all star card.

Hmmmm. I just picked him earlier. Have yet to try though.

Yes I think it's stupid that his HRD card has horrible fielding. It's the same player from the same year so how can his All Star card have diamond fielding and his HRD card not! L from SDS on that one.
