Is Nolan Ryan worth the price?
-
He looks really good with those attributes but is he worth the price? Will he still be a top 5 pitcher for the next 2 months?
My top 3 pitchers I do best with in H2H are 99 Johnson, 97 Feller, and 95 Miller all whom have outlier fastballs. Ryan has it as well but what hurts him is he only has 4 pitches. I don’t do well with the circle change as I don’t know how to or where to throw it. Sinker is decent for me. The 12-6 curve is really good against most players but if you go up against an opponent who can recognize dirt pitches is not that effective.

His price will drop in a couple weeks and then he’ll be worth the price. Once he gets to 150k stubs I’ll pick him up. He’s always been tough to hit online but in higher difficulty he’s harder to control too.

He’s definitely a top 5 pitcher who should be effective for a long time.

My ERA was below 1.00 with him last year. By far my best SP. He’s on par with Randy imo.

I just faced Ryan on HOF in RS…Yes he is very dominant. I only managed 1 run & 4 hits off him.

With the changes they made to PPP this year and the inclusion of floating meatballs it remains to be seen how good he can be, it will not be a dot fest with him regardless of how wild he is anymore.

It’s not a dot fest like pitching with Maddux but trying to hit that 102 mph heater with 119-124 h/9 on HOF is very hard. Just throwing it near the strike zone and mixing in the circle change is more than enough lol

They added floating meatballs this year?
Does the parmesan cheese and sauce fly off as the ball spins? -

Does the parmesan cheese and sauce fly off as the ball spins?if you hit it hard enough the salt bae dude will appear on screen like the guy from old Mortal Kombat games. I believe that was Ed Boone, right?
