I mean if that's the case why don't you just using timing and make World Series every season????

Also how do you know what hitting interface your oppent is using?

Because they want to win with "skill" and "play the game the way its meant to be played"

You didn’t answer the question at all

Probably because he can’t see the pci anymore, he probably doesn’t know that SDS took that away 🤣🤣🤣

IMO the game is bad, you miss by 0.01 in the PPP release and it’s a meatball and good input is not rewarded as much as bad input is.

I just played a guy who I suspect was center swinging, struck out 11 times and fouled tipped a lot, he almost beat me because in the 6th SDS gifted him 4 runs.

I went 0-2 on P/P hits and he went 1-1. One of my P/P was a flyout with 93mph exit velo from Ketel Marte, 84 power means nothing I guess.

You would have to ask your opponent what interface they are using correct?

It doesn’t show your opponents pci this year. It only says if they were late, early, etc. Right?

Look at the players batting average. Many times if it's low they are using timing or other. Maybe learning PCI.
I've played 90%* or so ranked with timing. Getting to start learning PCI. Also many times you can tell if a player is also using PCI when they consistently hit well on balls outside the zone.
    Not always though.

Oh once I started using PCI more I've been hitting those elusive corner pitches and out of zone pitches. Some hits, others outs.. now I need to get the timing down and be more patient. PCI distracts me. When I used timing only I was more focused of being patient.

PCI hitting is really hard for me but I'm getting better. It's a shame I disregarded it.

So you don't actually know what they are using, you are making a guess based on your personal experience.

There's no skill no more it's all timing no one uses pcis and you can't strike out anyone. This is the worst game they've made by far

I guess you never played 18? It was the worst. This one is a close 2nd.

Careful, that opinion makes you an sds fanboy, because if you have different opinions and disagree with hyperbole statements, that makes you a fanboy

I’m hardly a fanboy or a defender and you should know that already having seen me post over the years. Last years game, although not my favorite, is head and shoulder better than 22. Pretty funny YOU calling me a fanboy. LMAO

What are the big differences in 21 and 22 that make you think that? Just an honest question because I can’t put my finger on it. It seems to play very similar to 21 but juiced up defense. It seems like there’s more than that though.

Just my opinion but I think the timing windows are different and for the record the outer PCI which allows you to foul off pitch after pitch is nonsense especially on the 3rd strike

Is that why my Ks are down. The only thing that I'm decent at is the pitching and I noticed that but I thought it was me.

In my opinion, here are some of the gameplay differences between '21 and '22

    • PPP was more consistent in '21. It was overpowered then, but user input determined what happened with it. This year there are just random times floaters appear.

    • Foul balls are even more frequent this year than last year and there were a lot last year. It is a bigger issue at AS, but still exists at HOF.

    • The bloops, jam shots are much more prevalent. Last year there were pitches you could throw that either contact couldn't be made on or it was a broken bat out. This year those pitches that truly cannot be hit in any manner to get out of the infield are falling for hits very frequently.

    • Pitcher confidence to me seems to be a more controlling factor than it was a year ago.

    • Just as pitcher confidence seems to be a more controlling factor, clutch seems to be the same. I often will square up balls with guys early in games and not have solid results (especially if I already have the lead), but then late in the game, I can have worse timing and have the PCI barely on the ball and have good results (especially if I am losing). I realize some say the feedback system is not accurate, but even it was, I think this situation is still present.

    • This is one that I really haven't paid a ton of attention to, but I feel fielders are inconsistent with their animations. It seems that there is times where the same fielder will quickly transfer the ball and make a throw and then there are random times where it suddenly takes them forever transfer and make the throw.

I agree the two games play similar, but I think there are a lot of small changes that are contributing to the overall "gameplay" issue.

It's almost like their intentionally making a larger more prominent " middle class " on the " skill spectrum ". Shrinking the skill gap if you will. How? By dumbing down and simplifying the game. Press one button that's all. Spin the wheel of fortune. Your odds of hitting a Hr are on the back of that digital card you collected.

I'm not saying remove the bumpers aka timing..directional etc from the game. Only in competitive modes where stick skills...not one button skills reign supreme.

There are many horrible players disguised as average players because we don't know if the bumpers are propped up on the lane. Bumpers aren't illegal in bowling only in COMPETITION.

I understand your point of view. However, I used pci and climbed up to 730. My friend then asked me to use directional and said it should be easier, they wanted to see how many homers I could crank. The opposite happened, good and perfect pop ups the whole game and I got 2 hit only striking out 2 times. My friend paid me to play these games using directional but when you time it up perfect or just about and get rewarded with a pop up in directional where I’d be getting hits using PCI, yeah I went 0-4 using directional and won’t be going back
