Is it supposed to be first base only? Really like his swing but I was fixing to put him at catcher and noticed it wasn’t there on his secondary. Last year I think his mid 90s card was catcher right?

Last year card was a signature series(based on his entire career. This one is an awards card based on 2019. He hasn't played catcher since 2014

)I will probably give him some time at 1B. Decent power ratings and switch hitter. I do decently with frank but Santana's swing is always really nice IMO

)For years now have seen posts on here how people absolutely love his swing, and being a switch hitter i can guarantee you’re gonna see him a ton online. Even if there are “better” options at first

This will be a great card for grinding AL Central XP when it comes out. I for one love this card. Of course we have a abundance of 1st basemen now but before you know it we will have a ton of players at other positions that people will also complain about.
Enjoy this card for what it is.

I think not giving him a catcher card this early is a blessing in disguise, it could mean that he will get a higher rated catcher card later in the year with more balanced attributes.

But that's the point. I have every card in the game and grind a ridiculous amount of mini-seasons. I am the furthest thing from a One Online God Squad type player.
And I STILL won't use him until maybe there are Awards missions in mini-seasons.
The point is this is a flat out LAZY content drop. There are so many better options than a Carlos Santana that can't play catcher. And you know it.

Also there is many people who play a lot of events and having variety of different cards are very beneficial since you can only use certain cards. Plus Carlos Santana plays above his attributes.

Dude maybe some people just like Carlos Santana and want to use him? Not every content drop has to be for you. I personally love his swing. He’s always played above his rating because of it. And being a switch hitter, he’s probably a top 5 1B. If it’s a card based off 2019 then I’m glad it doesn’t have C secondary.
