It shows Diamond fielding for him but every outfield position I put him in is just gold when you go into a game

Although it has the diamond icon for defense on the card page, the fielding rating needs to be 90 or above for diamond fielding.

on the card it is a combination of all 4 fielding attributes. in game the shield under you is just the fielding rating.
