Scum out there still using R2

I'd rather people use r2 than pause after every pitch. It's never bothered my pitching, the cant hit it once you start your windup.
Bottom 7th let's say, bases loaded..I pitch mad fast and accurately on corners. I make their heads pin. I expect them to hit down to call time. Maybe lock r2 when he sets, count 2 and 2. Strategy. Spamming it tho, lame. 1st inning it starts with some. Sorry bro catch 22 situation but it's needed

Everyone automatically assumes that people do certain things (hold r2, step out of the box, hr replay,) just to aggravate . If it's that easy to get under your skin then you may need to see someone about that. I use each one at certain times. It all depends on the situation. If I just took a terrible hack at a good pitch to get to 2 strikes I'll step out to regroup for a second. I use r2 to look at pitchers energy, confidence and previous pitches. I use hr replays occasionally just because I'm glad they put it in the game. I wish we still got a warm up swing. I never see someone complain about people using Soto with his nonshuffle shuffle on balls out of the zone.

The problem is r2 isn’t really used that often to slow down pitching from what I’ve seen. It’s most commonly used by lower level players/trollers to throw off the pitchers. Most games it’s not an issue but there has been some games where someone will use it to try and cause a meat ball/ball in a critical situation, this is the biggest issue with it I see. If someone is trolling and doing that and bunt dancing I just sit and wait till I get auto pitch and then step off till I can’t anymore. By then the guy is usually so jumpy they swing at bad pitches and if they keep doing it I’ll waste more time.
For people with quick pitching issues I think what needs to happen is the pitches, pitcher info, and previous ab pitches should be displayed during the animation of the hitter stepping in the box. For in the ab I think it should be an option to where there is a delay that displays this info while the batter is stepping out and stepping back in after the pitch/foul. If both players hit x it skips like normal.
For people saying that when they’re hitting they want to control the pace, learn baseball. Pitcher controls the pace and tempo of the ab and game. If you don’t believe me watch some of Jonny cuetos highlights where he mixes up his rhythm and Delivery
Pitcher wants to control the tempo of the game. Hitter tries to upset that tempo. Everything needs to have a legitimate counter in the game to be balanced, otherwise it can be exploited.

I agree with Trying to find a balance, hence the idea of the walk up/in at bat animations. The problem that I have with the r2 is it is the only thing in the game that actually affects user input. I use pure analog pitching and I don’t know when someone is holding r2, when I pull down and get no response I either have to release it and hope they dont time their release of r2 where the game still reads me using the analog, which has happened to me before, and cause either a 50’ pitch or a ball 3’ outside the zone. Or I have to continually hold the analog stick down until they release putting pressure on my thumb as the analog is giving me resistance cause it wants to spring back to center and throws the rhythmic motion of using the analog pitching off.
Imaging hitting and the pitcher at random times right before you swing causes your input and the ball to freeze then at any random time during the freeze time period releases the pitch to finish coming in. This is an exaggerated example, but my point is, r2 is the only way another player can actually effect their opponents user input and create an advantage. And honestly I’ve played a lot of online games and I don’t think I’ve ever actually come across someone using r2 to avoid quick pitching, I’ve only experienced it when someone tries to abuse it in a key moment to cause a meat ball/ball. The only players I’ve run across that use it consistently throughout a game are the same ones who bunt dance the whole game cause their goal is the find a cheap way to to skew the game in their favor and annoy the other player

If someone wants to do that to me I’ll just slow pitch the [censored] out of them. Maybe I’m just add but that annoys the [censored] out of me the most
Honestly if I do it, that's all I want. You to slow down a tad. Especially because some stretches are glitched and quick pitching warps aninations.

This is why I won't play online. I don't deal well with people who cheat because winning is the only thing that matters to them.
Winning is all that matters. You must be a millennial.

- If a player is speed pitching from the stretch I will R2.
- If I want to see wich pitches the pitcher is confident with I will R2.
- If I want to see previous pitch locations I will R2.
None of this makes me or anyone else scum.

I had a guy the other day message me about taking too many pitches . Something like coach giving you the take sign? Uh, sorry I prefer to swing at strikes and not junk on the corners and out of the zone. Of course he quit in the 5th or 6th inning when it was 7-2 and he’d used no less than 4 pitchers.

people need something to stop the quick pitching..... I think balks should be made permanent to online games
