Getting ready to play a conquest game between the Giants and the Red Sox. As the first batter approaches the plate the commentator says, "And here we go.....its the Giants and their hated rivals the Red Sox!
-
Singleton: "You don't see this every game, a pitch out."
Oh, really, Chris?
You mean every game against! -
Up against the wall and makes the catch, when it's a pop fly the infielder takes.
-
"He tries to preserve the perfect game" on a diving play after I've already given up a hit and it's still the first inning.
-
Against any team "still don't have a hit" this will be said EVERY INNING (sometimes multipul times) starting in the 5th until either you complete the perfect game/no hitter or until its lost.

That makes sense though, these other posts highlight instances where the commentation doesn't make sense. They will still say its a no hitter until the no hitter is done or there's a hit. That just makes sense.

Real life announcers dont talk about a no no or pg in progress.(or at least most of them dont)
-
At least we don't hear anything about how the crowd affects the pitcher.
-
"... funny when your in CF, not so much as a hitter"( i crack up everytime i hear this one)
-
My favorite is when you let Bob Gibson hit and they wax poetic about the dramatic homer he hit while injured off Eckersley in the ‘88 WS.
Unreal. -
"The winning run is at 3rd!"
In the 1st inning of a 9 inning game...
-
It's no par-tay for Ketel Marte
-
Talking about Acuna Burst onto the scene and still continuing the dialog long after he is out.
-

They do the same when talking about Cleveland's 22 game winning streak or how Chris Singleton use to play for Baltimore.
