I wouldn’t call it a “huge L.” Some people will be excited for this card. I’m never excited about Babe, so I sold everything last night and got my cover athletes ready for the big one. Takashi will be a cheaper collection later on.

You are correct. It's a cycle around here when it comes to collections. It's a money grab when it first drops and then people beg for free prime cards or whatever and repeat for the next one. There will always be more than enough cards to go around with patience
I don't need prime cards, or 2nd heros, or any other cards, I just need to be able to ignore the ridiculously over priced Takashi cards, and not have them hide the collection behind the brand new future cards.
And you are right, the collections are alway millions the first week then they will give out cards like candy, but without TA how will they give the cards out. My guess is always intense packs and headliners. Everything this year is being approached from a business financial mentality and it blows hard.
To be fair tho, the only comparison I have is mlb21 and they spoiled us pretty good.

At first it likely will be locked behind the future stars, but I don't think the voucher will be much more than whatever they give us in the program(assuming 12) plus a couple. So maybe 15

Frank's part of the LS, so that's a different argument.
Nevertheless, I can't tell whether the community moaning about not being able to complete the big one with what's already locked in OR the decision to release cards needed for the big collection simultaneously -- which is worse.
What's worst of all, though, is SDS's decision in retrospect to make Rizzo the Lightning player knowing that Delgado and Babe were right around the corner...sheesh....

21 is actually the game that did things so differently and likely a result of its release later in April.
19 and 20 were done in a manner very similar to what we have this year only difference so far is TA is gone
For reference TA in 19 had only 1 reward all year and it was a 85 to 87 card for every team and TA was irrelevant after about the first 2 months.
TA in 20 was better and had 30 programs 1 for each team so it was a super slow grind for season 1 and 2 which dropped pretty quick then we went about 3 months till season 4 dropped which was just another round of FoTF cards and they were 97 to 99 overall cards but you had to have completed season 1 and 2 to progress to these card or buy them off the market.
What we have now is being course corrected to have the game normally works and in past years the big collection took time to finish not everyone had it done the day it dropped which I think is a positive.

Changes to quick sell prices only benefit SDS.
Needing every card for a collection like this is, in my opinion, whack. You'd have to buy the cards or turn the game into a full-time job.
VERY close to uninstalling and enjoying Sniper Elite 5...=)

If you are viewing him as a 1B primary that's on you
His defense/speed in the outfield will make him unplayable in a competitive environment (just like how you don’t see Kiner out there despite his hitting attributes). For anyone playing competitively he is a first baseman.

Be realistic though. Unless they go complete fantasy with his speed/fielding, people will use him as a 1B. Especially with the proliferation of God Squad outfielders out there already.

Cmon man. Don't be that guy, you know [censored] well Ruth and Delgado are firstbaseman for 95% of the community. If you put them in the outfield you are either a terrible H2H player, or a vs cpu hero.

And his silver fielding in the outfield isn't even bad normally people just tend to treat any outfielder that isn't Buxton/Griffey/Mays/Mantle/Trout level fielding as Nelson Cruz. As long as dives are still broken silver fielding in the outfield is more than fine. We all know the drill though, when they release another Takashi card via headliner or Event reward next week someone will come here and whine that they paid 500k for Maddux

Yeah I'm pretty disappointed in 22 as well. I wont spend a red penny on this game beyond the original purchase.

This. I have Chase Utley and Mickey Mantle, that's it. I had Delgado but I sold him so I could get Roberto Clemente.
