Roy Halladay Confirmed for Friday

The second card clue (gold Delgado) should confirm that the next feature program lone boss is Roy Halladay. One of the early clues was related to his teammates and they have released previews of Howard and Delgado so far. Both played with Halladay. I’d be shocked at this point if the new legend for Friday isn’t Doc.

Unless they are trolling us, the clues confirm Halladay. No one else of note fits that would be a new legend. I mean I guess Jayson Werth fits too, but that’s it.

No. Wagner and Halladay missed the boat by about 5 years. Other players that have gotten cards in recent years are Utley, Rollins, Lee, Oswalt, Dan Pleasac, Shawn Green, Jayson Werth, AJ Burnett, Troy Glaus, Shane Victorino, Cole Hamels, JA Happ, etc.

They probably wouldn’t be doing all this fanfare if it wasn’t going to be Roy at this point.

The biggest clue was at the start of the year, when they said, only 1 boss that everybody will want. Halladay has been one of the most requested in recent years, probably the most for SPs not named Randy Johnson.

I’m thinking Roy too. Sure hope so. I remember using him in a Phillies franchise back in the day. His delivery, pitch mix, and control is so fun.
