Showdown practice v Verlander

I've found it helpful to enter the mini mode for practice ahead of a Showdown to make sure my timing is good, but it seems like Verlander is not available in practice mode?

Is there a way to add him, or is there another pitcher who is very close by pitch mix/release point?
