In all of the years playing this game, I am still arguably the most inconsistant hitter in the community....the only thing that has kept my RS record .600 or better has been my pitching.

This year, I feel completely helpless.

I have used meter since day 1, and maybe it's just the fact I'm pitching with 85's but no matter the location and accuracy I NEVER feel confident the ball is going to go where it needs to. I have 'perfect' up and away fastballs grooved middle in, among countless others. Too many times it gets hung, or is just completely out of the zone and I find myself in a ton of 3-1/3-2 counts forcing me to tee it up.

Is it time I learn pinpoint? From the few posts i've read there are issues with pinpoint as well....so is pitching as a whole a mess this year? Any tips?

I think it's clear that PPP is the one that makes user input matter the most, still there are times I get taken yard when I'm trying to paint the black and have perfect everything. And worse on HOF you have to be perfect nearly every pitch. Which is most assuredly not easy to do

ive used pulse for about 10 years now and im noticing probably 10-15% of pitches with perfect inputs or not will end up anywhere but where you aimed it or even within a few cm of where you aimed it on screen that is

I’ve used pure analog since they released it with plenty of success.. plus it might be easier to learn coming from meter than pinpoint

But I would say give them both a try, you’re still going to have random hangers but that’s the name of the game

Even with pinpoint you will give up a lot of hits or have inconsistent feedback. I just focused on hitting and putting up as many runs as I possibly can. This way I don't have to worry about it as much. But PPP is the way to go if you need more consistency.

I've stuck with meter since MVP baseball circa 2003.

People are still dotting with PPP. The complaints you see are about one pitch not being dotted per 1,000 thrown. They are certainly trying to shift people toward PPP if you want to be competitive. Similar to having to use zone if you want to win.

You might as well take your lumps for a week and learn it.
