So, I really like the hitting as it is now in patch 1.05. I think fastballs are fast enough (on all star, playing online) and the hitting is pretty rewarding. But...

I'm not getting anything from perfect perfect hits. This morning I played a RS game and had 2 perfect liners snagged by the third baseman. Then in a conquest game I had 3 perfect perfect balls in play: A perfect grounder by Mookie Betts right at the shortstop, a perfect liner by Bellinger straight at the right fielder and a perfect fly ball by Betts (again) easily caught on the warning track.

In the last week or so, I don't think a got a .300+ batting average, let alone the .750+ they showed in the streams from the beta testing. Is anyone else having this issue or do I just have terrible luck?

They said that not all perfect perfects would be hits, but most would so it could just be a dry spell

I think the chance of getting Perfect/Perfect should be like 1/1000 so noobs would spend at least 30 mins in custom batting practice before they play any type of game, either it being Franchise or Online (nooby).

Good, then it's just bad luck. eh, I also got a 3-run homerun with 86 Sheffield with 'just early - ok- contact in that RS game, so it goes both ways

BTW, that moment where you have to hit the HR in Old Miami Stadium with that 86 Sheffield is cheeks.

I haven't touched the moments yet because the don't really get you anywhere (unless you have enough online innings). I'll probably do them once (if...) more moments come out

They said in the streams that PP fly balls would be guaranteed homers for batters with 80+ power. I can say for sure that is not the case. I’ve had it happen with Reggie Jackson and 99 Mantle quite a few times with PP fly balls dying at or before the track even with the wind blowing out. Through my first 80 at bats with Jackson, I had one homer despite the fact that he was batting .500 with a ton of PP hits. I’ve since hit a few more with him. I know pitcher stats sometimes come into play, but I’m seeing this even grinding against Rookie CPU with silver pitchers that the rest of team is creaming. Love the game, some of the fielding and PP inconsistencies are very annoying. Baserunning IQ has always been a problem with the Show and this season is no different.
