Rtts fielding is such a joke

Fielding hasn't been touched in years. No matter what position you play fielding is absolutely dull. You play a corner outfield position and 95% of your plays are either ground [censored] that make it though the infield, homeruns you have to watch, or the most routine flyballs. Play 2b and 50% of the time you are just covering the bad while the cpu attempts a steal. Corner infield, to many bunts, when it's not a bunt it's routine slow ground [censored]. Ss is cool, but again nothing but routine slow groundballs. I tried playing catcher because I remember you got to atleast call the pitches, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I mean why? Fielding is one of the best and most beautiful aspects of baseball. Why can't they make it fun?

Cause DD pays the bills, not RTTS.
I don't have an opinion on this. Is just the facts.
Downfall happened when they integrated RTTS into DD in 17. Whatever they did, it became too DD dependent. Going from stubs to advance skills, to XP points, to quirks from packs etc.
I wouldn't expect a lot of work to get done on it, specific to fielding.

Everytime the cpu tries to steal they tend to hit a ground ball at 2b. I stopp3d covering the steal and wait for the ground ball as the batter ha[censored] a ground ball at 2nd literally everytime someone tries to steal

Evidently the opposing team never hits a foul ball. I have yet to catch a foul ball playing first or second. Now I can swing at a 99 mph fastball on the outside corner and hit it to the moon straight up and the catcher or first baseman can catch it. Whomever creates this game either doesn’t own a physics book or has never actually played the game of baseball. 95% of the caught foul [censored] in this game should be 15 rows in the stands but that would mean that I would get extra pitches to actually get a hit.

that's usually how it is. devs never play the game. so they don't care.

What should they be? You realized that you just described 95% of a real corner outfielders plays.
That said, I have played a season in right field. The fly [censored] may seem routine but I have had to make catches at the wall, tried(and failed) to make leaping catches ta the wall, run in to make catches on shallow pop ups, play [censored] off the wall, chase down a ball the wa[censored] down the line. I am not sure what else I could expect in a corner outfield position?
Now, all positions might not be perfect but at least for the outfield it does not seem bad.
Worst case scenario, you can always turn off fielding attempts.
