Lee Smith....2 way superstar?

Grinding through some mini seasons rookie and I'm playing the Lemurs and Lee Smith is up to hit. I'm thinking to myself it's odd that they didn't pinch hit for him, I get him out. Next batter up is the pitcher, now I'm confused.
I go to check out their lineup, and he's playing catcher lol. Never once did he drop a pitch either. I wasn't even going to try for the steal 20 bases on all star, but figured with him behind the plate why not.
Got 19 steals in 2 games against them, should've been 20 but he did manage to catch Bryce Harper at 3rd once.
Gotta love these bugs sometimes lol

I had the same thing with Jim Edmonds. Someone told me that whenever the team you're playing has a created player at catcher, this will happen and you will see a random player of the lineup at that position. So in fact it was a created player with the same stats as that created player (which you don't see in the game) instead of Lee Smith or in my case Jim Edmonds.
