Ranked/Online play advice

Matched up with a PSN I recognized from ranked leaderboards in BR yesterday morning. We played a pretty frustrating game in which I lost 0-2. Was my 2nd game of the day and rolled over about 4-5 low and away offspeed pitches.

When we finished, I looked up his PSN and sure enough, he was who I thought. He hit 1132 in ranked last season. I messaged him GG's and asked what he would advise people to do to get better out of curiosity. Thought some people may be curious.

He said to only play ranked when you are having a good day and feel cracked. Otherwise, just take it easy and play BR/Events until you find it.
