I can easily hit the cpu on legend but struggle on all star online

I don’t get why is such a big difference, I understand a small difference but I’m usually late on every swing if I try to read what it is online, while playing the cpu on legend I’m able to constantly hit the best pitchers and figure what pitch is coming.
Any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat. Fast balls kill me even though that's all I look for. I warm up against Nolan ryan on legend and when I start to hit a groove I hop over to RS where I'm still in All-Star (9-1) and I helplessly flail at every single fast ball even though they are throwing several mph slower than Ryan. Mind boggling stuff.

I swear pitch speeds feel faster online in ranked as opposed to the same difficulty against the cpu

It’s game input lag. Online is going to have a fraction second difference from offline play.

It’s better to use offline to train yourself at being aware of the strike zone rather then fastballs. Because all pitches are going to get on u a bit faster becasuse it’s not as smooth as offline

Yeah, there is gonna be a difference from online to offline. But were talking legend offline and allstar online. Last year there wasn’t that much difference. There’s some kinda of timing window issue

Exactly, it doesn’t make much sense, my tv is new with a good Refresh rate and my internet is as good as it gets and plugged directly to the ps4. -
