LAN Cable Not Connected
-
Has anyone else experienced this issue on the PS5? I will be playing a ranked game and all of a sudden a message with flash on the screen and say "LAN Cable not connected" it will disconnect me from the internet and within 2 seconds I'm reconnected and can log back into DD. I just lost two ranked games today because of it and 5 overall, my record is 21-10.
It's impossible to make World Series when I can't even finish a game.I was on the phone with PlayStation for about 45 minutes the other night and they didn't know anything about it issue. I am not sure if it's a hardware issue with my PS5 or my Lan cable itself. I played through each Event and just finished 25 wins in the current even and it did not happen once.
I've been wanting to grind out ranked, but it won't even let me finish a game. I am not sure if my opponents have a way to get into my network and disconnect me?If a MOD or anyone knows of a resolution that would help me I would appreciate it!

How old is your cable? I had that problem when I was on Ps4 and a new cable fixed it. They just wear down after a while and get a little loose in the port. Might not be that in your case though

That means your modem has disconnected from the internet. You probably need to contact your ISP to set a trouble call to find out why your modem is disconnecting randomly. It could be as simple as a firmware update or as complicated as RF issues affecting your modems ability to stay connected. FYI, I’m. A network engineer for Comcast so I do know what I’m talking about.

Unless he is constantly disconnecting that cable the most likely issue is firmware, rf, or a bad modem.

It is an older cable. I think i'll try a new one and see if that fixes it, its been so frustrating bc i loss so many rating points on these losses. Thanks for your help!

This doesn't have to do with your cable, though, you should use a high-speed one.
Google the problem. There are a couple of videos that show you how to solve this. Once I did the update and assigned my PS5 a static IP address in my router, the problem went away.

This is a known software/port issue with PS. Booting the machine into safe mode, doing the update, and assigning the console a static IP address in the modem will fix the issue.
