Hitting is a joke

This game plays to the casual player online. It's why you see so many foul balls on pitches they shouldn't touch.
It's also why you see all the diving and sliding catches.
It's also why you see perfect pitches get forced down the middle of the plate.
These are all things that cater and help the new players. There is no place for it online especially when you use the word "competitive" to describe the difficulty.
Some kid sitting in the back of his mom's mini-van with one hand in a Doritos bag playing on a 4 inch screen gets to hang with you and your $500 XBOX and $600 gaming monitor.

It help keeps the people that aren’t any good in the game and spending money.. there are way more people that suck at the game, then people who are good!!!

Yeah, I'm new this year, but I've already put a ton of time into learning zone hitting. At first, I attributed all the shenanigans to me missing the pitches or ratings factors between me and the pitcher. BUT lately it feels like it's all luck.
Also, batter feedback sometimes shows my PCI in a different place than I put it. In the beginning, I just thought maybe my reflexes were making me push the stick up or left, or whatever, without me knowing it. But some of these, I'm damned confident where the PCI should have ended up.

There’s a definite RNG element built into the game. Not all good input is rewarded, that’s for sure. I’ve come to except it and try and just enjoy playing. It’s not worth my aggravation
That’s actually a great mindset to have.
I personally couldn’t get there and had to stop playing. I just got to the point where I was frustrated more than not and wasn’t really having fun anymore. -
I wish all of these things would work for me. I'm not a kid with a Doritos bag ( more like a grown up with ice cream), but I still lose most of my games online and see very few hittable pitches. Yes of course there is some RNG which is lame. There should be a casuals league and a competitive league, the latter being completely skill based. But I assure you, those of us who suck still can't hit a lick online and lose 90% of the time.
I agree there should be no RNG helping the bad player to win, but speaking as a bad player, it's not as helpful as you all think. Look at my RS lifetime record. 8-42. All 8 wins were early quits if I recall. I have never won a 9 inning online game. I'm not complaining. I'm still new comparatively, I don't have patience to take BP and of course I'm going to suck compared to those of you who have played for a decade. But I'm just trying to reassure you, it's not helping us as much as you think.
Ok....all together now....GET GOOD!

The only problem with what you're saying is once you get into the higher rankings, RNG luck should decrease and so should the outer PCI coverage. The higher ranked players really don't need as much outer PCI coverage because they are somewhat thumb Gods.

Those bad things goes both ways in my opinion, I hear a lot of so called good players basicly say, if I win it is skill if my opponent wins its rng or whatever

Yeah that’s true

Thats basically how it is in any game played against another human.
You know how many times ive played COD and hear people blame everything under the sun when they get killed (lag, hackers, controller input, some weird glitch that only happens to them etc) but when they win the smallest 1v1 battle, its the greatest achievement in the history of mankind.
Its the same with baseball. I've seen many people in here or FB groups post their little screenshots like "HOW IS THIS A HOMERUN!!??" but they refuse to acknowledge when they get those homeruns too. Like their PCI placement is spot on every swing.
It happens. Its a game. And people shouldnt let it stress them as much as they do.

There is a casual mode. It's actually a lot more fun. The stats count, but no xp. XP? Yea, that's fun. One time, in casual, on rookie mode, 0-0 through 3 innings, I messaged my opponent I was going to throw all fastballs. He responded, all fastballs? OK. So we both threw all fastballs and let the hitting and defenses rule, he won 10-7, I had bases loaded bottom of the ninth, fly out to the track. Funnest online game I ever played. And I lost. At least playing in casual/rookie, if I fall behind, there's a chance to come back. And my player online stats are much better. Try casual/rookie, I know I enjoy it much more.
