Roy Oswalt

Had good success with a variety of pitchers, so was surprised by the initial results with Oswalt after unlocking him recently. I seem to be throwing more pitches and walking more batters than usual... missing the spots I normally attack well. Curious to hear how people use Oswalt (what pitches you primarily throw & what parts of the zone) and if he been good for you so far?

He is pretty effective for me for the most part. That slider just hangs if you miss your spot. Sinkers in to righties on the black and even lefties is very effective.

Yeah the slider definitely hangs, I throw a lot of pitches with him as well he doesn’t seem too accurate...but if you keep pitching with him and get to prestige his bb/9 get a nice boost so I imagine with the new update and the better attributes he’d perform better

gonna end up making him prestige diamond. will be a top 3 for a few months and a decent 5 spot later in the year

I know you’re not supposed to throw Chang-ups to right handed hitters with a right handed pitcher but the change-up low and inside to right handed hitters is filthy

He's really good. I'm average just below 2K's per inning. (This is the result of stupid fast pitch speeds currently, not a result of my amazing pitching skills). The Red Diamond still hangs sliders, but not nearly as bad.
