Shifting 2nd baseman with runner on

Just played a bunt lord in events. Usually I'll move my second baseman in when I know he's going to bunt, but in extras I was unable to move my 2nd baseman away from the bag. No matter what I did he stayed there holding the runner.
Anyone else run into this

Haven’t tried myself but thanks for the heads up, will have to try it next time I get into extras in franchise mode.
A similar bug existed previously for 1B, where after setting infield up for bunt defence he would persist with holding a runner on 1st on subsequent plays even if there was no runner. Or something like that I can’t remember exactly what it was now but it was a definite bug.

Could it be that the 2B was holding the runner at 2B? In that case you should manually assign the SS to hold the 2B instead and I think you'd be free to move the 2B in after that. Not 100% certain but I think that's the cause of the issue.

Yes 2B was holding the runner. I'll give it a shot next time. We should be able to have a few preset shifts. Like how madden let's you customize your audible presets. Maybe hold LT and then use the directional pad.
