I remember having a beer in a dive bar watching the astros one day and this old man was in there, he was a yankee fan. One of the best conversations I've ever had in my life.

Other than that I always assume yankee and dodger fans are just fans because it's popular

Where I'm from, stadium security would use CCTV to identify the fans who did this and ban them from the stadium for life.
