Correct. Anything that is listed in the current program is tied to that program only.
And any XP you earn now will not be carried over.
So you have two choices:

Just play the game for fun.

Take the rest of the weekend and Mon -Thur of next week off and so something else.
I'm in the same boat. I hit 650K the other day and am waiting on doing the new TN and Cover Athlete Program until next Fri. At least the XP earned for just playing the games will count towards the program.
I even thought about playing BR; but I'm also going to wait on that.
The Event doesn't interest me at all for a card that I can just outright buy for 10-15K.
Yes the event reward is 12k but if you get 30 wins, which is very doable, you get a handful of show packs and 3 big dog packs. Have you unlocked 99 randy yet? If not, you should be getting your hand on every card possible and selling them. You can sell your reqrsa for 50k-100k from this event alone and it's only like 5 days. No brainer if you want Randy.

You should knock out the other programs now & get the stubs & rewards from then now, The next program will have other programs tied to it that will most likely consume most of your time trying to complete which will make it hard to go back to these existing programs now.

I'll be playing other games until the new program starts. Anything The Show related is wasted xp.

I'm using this time to start an Out of The Park Baseball franchise and play some other stuff.

I finished earlier this week myself. Been using my RTTS player and leveling him up. Took my MTO team from Allstar break to game 150 or so. When next program starts, I’ll finish that up for a decent boost of XP.

I mean they could offer 1 show pack for every 25k over the end and it would be an improvement to me.

Play Franchise, MTO, or RTTS. I personally love having time to do all of that.

Not worth it. Played five Event games and all five my opponent (s) held R2 the WHOLE game.
I'll just spend the 12K for Salmon and if I need 100K in stubs; I'll just buy a bundle.
Les stress and less worrying about having to deal with immature [censored].

I’m going to see how it goes by playing March to October in airplane mode on my Switch until the new “inning” starts and then put it online and see if I get the XP. Sometimes experimenting can be fun.
Have you done the conquest maps with the expiration dates? Those have good packs in them for collections down the road (prospects).
I’m waiting to do the programs and Topps stuff until May so I’ll get the XP for them.

I don't understand how people like you have the worst online experience known to man and I run into someone like that one out of every 100 games. It makes no sense. Something's not adding up.

I finished the big program over a week ago. But its just like any other program when you are done move on. There are plenty other things to do. I just been grinding for stubs/ packs.

Even though I have been done with the Madden xp path for weeks I play 2 solo battles a day, and earn the one free strategy card, one free coin card, and midfield pack
When I have been done with this program I been playing mystery map over and over
