PSA: GET OUT OF MINI SEASONS QUICKSAND
-
Thanks to people on this message board, there was an earlier thread troubleshooting, which it's sad that we have to figure this out on our own like some kind of bonus Mystery Mission.
But it was helpful
Restart Mini Seasons, you cannot just sit there in server exception limbo because the data is corrupted, and make sure you:
- use the exact same roster the entire season
- do not quit any game to save time
After doing these things it let me play the championship round. I banged it out in one day because I don't know if your opponent (mini seasons teams are based off actual DD teams) changing their roster would corrupt the data and cause the server exception.
Hope this helps peeps. I got my Longoria and I am done playing that mode and bitching about that mode. Good luck!

I finished my first World Series. I changed my lineup many times throughout the season/playoffs to hit team/player missions. I have 3 saved lineups I was switching between. So not sure if 1 has any affect. I will say that I didn't quit any games along the way. I played each game to the end, only losing 1 game from start to finish.

This is all well and good, but I've done both #1 and # 2 twice and got through 2 seasons without issues

Yeah I had to restart again. I did change my lineup once. I got the Allstar HR completed and then I switched to my main squad, no issue. I also quit out of the last 5 or 6 games to save time. I did however, play through the playoffs in one sitting and completed the whole MiniSeason in two days. I think getting through quick helps and not dragging it on for several days. So not issues.

Same. Perhaps sds fixed the issues people were having.

It was all about diagnostics.
I'm really happy to see that the issue is a NOT our rosters. Seeing people restart and getting through is great.
When problem solving, you need as much of a control environment as possible.
So now after the restarting, it APPEARS to be linked to the opponent rosters. Now is it cross play on/off related? Is it our side with cross play on/off? Is it when our opponent does something mid flight, meaning roster changes WHILE our game is being played, so post game, everything dumps to error?
We won't know but I hope SDS will start narrowing it down. We can only do so much as the consumer here.
