This is why we complain

Played BR just to get the 120 point ballin pack. Won 3-0 so why am I complaining? I had 4 hits on all good swings and a few that should’ve been rewarded but it’s baseball not every swing is a tank or touching grass. Opponent has 5 hits not one of them good and all out of the zone. Do you see now? I’ll say this I never had this thought on 17 that I deserved a win or loss. If I lost it was all me and if I won it was all me, 18 and onwards is where I genuinely believe the game started this bs.

The only way to make it truly like 17 as you described is all bad PCI is not hits, and all good PCI is hits, otherwise BS wins or losses will happen. And 17 wasn't like that way.

To you maybe, but I at least felt more content with how the rng was that year. -

If lucky hits exist in the game, or hard outs, then logic would dictate that at times people HAVE to get lucky to win a game because it will happen at a key point.
My point wasn't that RNG isn't worse now, I was specifically addressing the "I’ll say this I never had this thought on 17 that I deserved a win or loss. If I lost it was all me and if I won it was all me "

It’s definitely true to me, how I played was the factor if I won. I’ve had a few event games where all 9 swings were good and for outs. Yet my opponent has one good swing and wins. That’s what I mean by I never felt I was going to lose or win by my example of how this year can do that.

This game is a disgrace. I am embarrassed to openly admit I own this game, I wouldn’t even recommend this game to my worst enemy.

So what you are saying is, you never lost a game that you deserved to win in 17 or vice versa? Because that's simply not true.
RNG was tuned down back then, but it still existed, which means it mattered in winning and losing at times

What I’m trying to say is, if my opponent played better I felt more deserving to lose. If I was outplaying my opponent I feel I deserved that win. Every year since 18 I have felt you can completely outplay your opponent and they can still be competitive. That’s what I’m saying.

Right, but this outlook means one of two fixes
Either it's your outlook that is the problem
Or it's SDS's problem that it needs to hide RNG influencing better, but it still exists fairly often
Which I would argue, 1. is obviously wrong, and 2. isn't good for the game and doesn't actually fix it.

All swings outside of the pci should be swings and misses. This is how you solve it.

And then you get complaints about "This was in the PCI, how was this a foul ball?" etc etc.
Also you have to consider the casuals because SDS has to consider the casuals. There has to be a compromise somewhere

Foul balls to the lines would be determined by timing, foul balls straight back would be the balls that are split between inside and outside the pci, or just on the edge.
I’m aware casuals would struggle and obviously pci sizes in general would have to increase slightly. This would also solve all of the people complaining about the home runs as balanced lineups would be far more important just like real life. As for casuals, they can remain just that. Casual. Ranked is a competitive mode and I personally value competitive integrity. I don’t say all this to be a griper or whiner, I’m just putting my two cents in for what would make this game truly competitive. The game we have been playing is no where near competitive.

All these UT games are all the same with being designed for player retention. Throw the player a bone every once in a while, boost they’re confidence, make them feel like they’re good at the game and they keep playing. Then entice them to buy packs. They’re all the same design.. if anyone doubts that then you don’t know how online gaming is done these days.

You can say that, but casuals don't have that same view, they want to play ranked, and SDS can't just ignore that.
SDS doesn't want this game to be a "truly competitive" experience, I don't think that was ever their goal. They aren't trying to be Rainbow Six Siege here.

Good luck convincing them on that. Competitive isn't some set in stone meaning. You can compete against others in chess, and you can compete against other in Yahtzee. Yahtzee takes a little strategy, but you are dependent on literal dice, technically still a competition.

These gameplay issues have literally no effect on dudes that go 761-5 against the CPU every year. So yeah the 900 clubs opinions are a lot more valid.
It’s just dumb excuses from the heard of cows like how online franchise can’t come back because they we’d get freeze offs!!! Man, those guys really hit the nail on the head huh?
When you get offline players coming up with reasons why it can’t happen, you have contradictions like that last statement. If swings inside are hits, and swings outside are misses, the arguement people will start screaming “this is inside why isn’t it a hit” doesn’t exist. Because it is a hit. And it doesnt matter how bad you are, it’s just a contradiction. You could be the worst player on the planet. It still doesn’t make sense.

You’ll get Banned for truth… 1 have up 15 hits and 12 were weak rollers outside the zone or on bad contact a game ago…they always seem to conclude in a bombs batter later… i almost want to intentionally walk everyone after a few weak hits bc I know no matter where I throw it will be a bomb…. It’s absolute jokes. This dude has sub Mendoza line avg and kept hitting roller after roller after roller then tanked a slider 8 inches off the plate … I mean come on, poor coding
