Honest opinion...will the market become flippable and when?
-
Before anyone jumps on to say how amazing the market is, please know I'm not bashing anything, I'd just really like to know what people think. The highest margins according to showzone are less than 1,000 stubs profit and those margins seem to close instantly once I place bids.
A lot of people said that the margins would open up once the actual release happened which makes lots of sense, early release was only sharks...regular release should have added loads of casuals. The Market hasn't changed at all, at least not from what I’ve seen.
I'm not in the world's biggest hurry but if there are stubs to be made, I'd love to make them. Last year was my first season and I didn't learn to flip till July or so..by then, margins were up to 6-8k for cards like HRD, 42, Live diamonds and continued to grow. Is that something something anyone anticipates this year or have some of the changes impacted that? I know, nobody is nostradamus, but based on your experience, can you make an educated guess.
Signed,
I'm really bored at work and have nothing better to do. -
It’s definitely tougher. I finished 21 with over 20 M stubs and wasters another 10 near the end , but I drastically over estimated what I needed and flipped too much early on.
So far this is the weakest market I have seen at this point, stubs can be made and you will have some guys come in talking about that, but it’s a grind and nowhere near where it has been in the past.
Right now the juice isn’t worth the squeeze for me, but for those wanting to work on smaller Margins and devote hours a day, more power to them. I value my time more than what I can make.
-
If showzone shut down margins would zoom. It will still get there though. Probably around June or July
-
Showzone, and all the youtubers talking about it, don't help the market. Everytime "showzone this", or "this player that" gets mentions on youtube 100 little kids flock to that player and have a piranha frenzy until the margin is gone.
-
Hahahaha, that's funny. I'd never even heard of Showzone until today. As soon as I did pretty much what you just said @go4stros25_PSN hahaha, the margins evaporated. I learned my lesson in about 5 mins. That's not the avenue for me.
And @OreoRockstar_PSN you pretty much summed up how I feel. I know I could make some. I made about 20K on the anime cards the other day but I was on the app for way too much time for such little return. To each their own, I definitely don't mind the grind if it's profitable.
Ps: Juice worth the squeeze....Girl Next Door. LOVE Elisha Cuthbert.

It will. It was much better this last weekend. I really think it will continue to improve.

Actually you are right, this weekend I noticed it opened up a bit, maybe there were just a ton more people playing as the casuals don't play everyday?

Attribute updates will create a small window. Be ready to pounce.
Also, there are a few card series which I think are time bombs…it’s just a matter of persistence and patience. I’m likely wrong though as I am just speculating.
-
If it's at the top of showzone, it's not going to be a good flip because a ton of people know about showzone, so you will have 10 people trying to flip the same card
To your question, yes. will take a couple months though

For me, the action is the juice.

You're not lying, even when I make very little profit, I still want to flip.
Last night, the pack luck gods shined down when I foolishly bought two big dog packs.....and then pulled two rare. That was an instant 50K return. I may have spent all my luck right there.
But that's not really flipping, that's just good luck.
-
i have had some luck at flipping it is definitely not like it has been in the past with player cards. Some random ones have paid off well for me not it is maybe 1 or 2 times not tons like in years past. The tiers they did really messed with the margins.
-
Definitely not gonna be as easy. I think with the changes to prices its a little off now. Im seeing silvers BUY NOW at 2500 and then you see a gold for 700. Im just gonna watch it for a month or two to see how it trends but in the meantime, im gonna grind away on the mini-seasons and new content as it drops.

Sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe sheeeeeit.
Yesterday I was flipping some cards for 1-2k every few mins and today the margins are negatives. Actually many cards in general are negative flips today.
I do find the cards people who buys stubs are more likely to get are the best. Big dog players packs, WS rewards, the headliners. They always move fastest for me.
If all else fails buy the headliners the day before they leave and they always go up a bit once they leave packs. Lofton was about 13 now he touches 18 sometimes. Slower but easier.
-
It’s like this every year. You’ll actually find there is better profit margins with bronze and commons. Buy like 1000 commons that have no quicksell orders in and you’ll be able to flip those cards for ridiculous profits. You’ll be surprised how much you can make doing this. Keep in mind that you have lots of people attempting stub transfers so keep your eye open for anomalies that don’t make sense.
-
You just need to know what to flip.... I've already fliipped my way to completing the live series

This. Everyone flips now. It might become flippable once a significant amount of people have completed their collections and have a comfortable enough bankroll to not pay attention. My most successful flips this year weren’t really flips, they were short term investments based on anticipated supply/demand related to the schedule.

@Ericulous1_PSN check your messages. Hope it helps!
