I never believed

that there was RNG in this game; but unless I was unlucky during my last Conquest game.....

Now, I don't even know if RNG would be something you could experience vs the CPU; but here goes.

I go into the bottom of the 3rd inn vs Cleveland, on Rookie, up 3-0.

They had no hits the entire game (2.5 innings) and I had AS Wood coming in who had a 0.00 ERA.

First batter lines to left for a single. Second batter doubled to left on a bloop hit. Third batter grounded out but the runner on third scored and the runner on second moves up to third. Fourth batter hit a sac fly to score the runner on third. 3-2 now. Struck out the next batter to end it.

But those two late hits, against a closer that hadn't given up a hit since I got him, seemed a little fishy.

RNG or did I just pitch wrong?

I have this happen every so often in Conquest where the CPU mounts a 3rd Inning comeback just to make it close.

Doesn't happen often and usually only when the your ahead by 3 runs or less.

I just assume the rolls have to fall the CPUs way eventually, or SDS is trying to give me a bit of excitement.

In my opinion, conquest games are “programmed” to be close, tense games. I’ve had way too many 1-0, 2-1, extra inning games to believe otherwise.

How long you been playing this game? That’s an honest question cause the hitting has been built on RNG for as long as I can remember. Did you genuinely not believe it was real or??

if you want real RNG use classic pitching. Every pitch will be an adventure.

There is some level of RNG involved in every pitch thrown, bat swung, check swing, fielding chance, blocked ball, stealing jump, and probably other situations I’m not thinking of. The better input you have the less affected you are by it, but you can’t eliminate it. Focusing on the process and your input while ignoring results will help you get the best results. Much like real baseball.

My experience has been that the cpu picks a spot and or pitch and smashes it if its there, it is better this year at adjusting when its not, but it still seems to me thats still how it goes.
first batter probably was sitting on what you threw and it snowballed from there, and before you could lose it, you took a breath, knuckled down and finished them.

^ this, there has to be some form of RNG in a game involving individual attributes. The RNG gets worse as they release the higher rated cards, if they would stop with the 100+ attributes it wouldn’t be as bad.
