I can only speak for myself, but I consume media from a variety of outlets with varying ideological slants. Cable news is generally a bad source of information, especially the evening opinion shows. Fox takes it 12 steps further, so it’s not equivalent to CNN, but CNN still has lots of room to improve.

I was the Hackensack Bulls in 20 with my created player Montey Brewser. I did a cap build of Richard Pryor and everything. He was legit.
Richard Pryor was awesome in Bingo Long’s Travelling All-Stars. It is a mostly forgotten fictionalization of barnstorming teams challenging the wealthier owners of the Negro League teams. Billy Dee Williams plays a renamed Satchel Paige and James Earl Jones plays a character based on George Foster. Mabel King steals film in every scene she is in though. Really fun forgotten baseball movie which I highly recommend.

It’s not a very effective tactic for anything other than getting the other person to shut down or showing one’s own undesirable personality traits. It’s a big problem in our politics right now. Telling Trump voters how stupid they are isn’t going to do anything but further entrench them and make yourself feel better.
And you’re not alone, I have certainly done it more than I care to admit, but try not. Sometimes it’s hard when people personally attack you, but I think I manage the temptation reasonably well most of the time. We’re all human. Remember that they are too.

I know there are some people on here that I have been a bit unreasonable with but some of the people on here you have probably seen me interact on here with recently have a history of coming after me personally. Again, doesn't make it right but it's not like they just disagreed with me so I was an instant [censored]. @Parradox-Cam_PSN being an example of someone I was too harsh on from the start, still don't think they were right with the things they said but I could've been nicer. The other guy blocked me so I won't bother tagging him but he would constantly tag me in posts after I dared to speak against Trevor Bauer so I feel less bad about giving him [censored].

Fair enough. I definitely empathize and always appreciate humility.
You should read some of the attacks in the other thread regarding my previous profession as an educator.
It is really sad to me that that amount of venom comes out from people over so little. There’s so much wrong with that being a norm and accepted. I spent years getting my undergraduate and masters degree so that I could teach the next generation critical thinking skills, knowing that I could make more money doing something less noble. Lack of appreciation is part of why I left the profession, so I guess it’s a sore spot.

Yes I did, just because I'm now being condescending doesn't mean you weren't also condescending earlier. I think we can both agree the person I am speaking to now has shown to be a lost cause. You actually gave him great advice by telling him to read/listen to sources he doesn't agree with. I do it all the time and while at the end it doesn't change my mind I can usually understand better where the "other side" is coming from when making certain arguments.
