My team used to be the Arizona Schnauzers but now I’m the Tucson War Pugs. I spent a lot of time making a pug logo that I tried to upload to the vault but I kept getting errors. But it may actually be up there. I haven’t checked for a week or so.
I know it has nothing to do with this idiot OP, but let’s all share our team names so we can dilute the stupid.

It is actually a Red state ran by the Blue that is why Cali is jacked up, ranked like 47th in education, Has some of the highest gas prices, Housing pricing it, Has the most expensive city to live in that would be SF, The list goes on and on and on. Every year people are moving to Texas, Florida, AZ, Nevada, Oregon, WA or another state.
Don’t Texas my USA.
I kid. I might consider voting for the other side of the isle if they weren’t so authoritarian/conspiracy/culture war friendly. And if they had any ideas other than saying no and lowering taxes for the wealthy.
Save your politics for the bar with the sign that say’s “ politics not welcome” no matter what side of the aisle you support we all have to deal with the annual launch mess of The Show.
I’d like to, but I’m just unhappy with the current political state. It just bleeds out. I’m a slightly left of center moderate at heart. I want viable alternative options. And I live in a college town. Politics always welcome at bars here.
As a centrist I feel you’re pain, sadly we are stuck with two party politics in NA and neither side is interested in becoming less extreme.
Solution is simple. End partisan gerrymandering and publicly fund campaigns. Electoral college should go too, but that just pushes us closer to an actual democracy, doesn’t help with extremism. None of that happening any time soon, though.

45 had so much potential to do things like this that are out of the norm. He did do things out of the norm, but decided to damage democracy rather than strengthen it.
If you can get the GOP to be pro-Russia and support an insurrection, I’m sure you can get them on board with ending gerrymandering.

I can only speak for myself, but I consume media from a variety of outlets with varying ideological slants. Cable news is generally a bad source of information, especially the evening opinion shows. Fox takes it 12 steps further, so it’s not equivalent to CNN, but CNN still has lots of room to improve.

Richard Pryor was awesome in Bingo Long’s Travelling All-Stars. It is a mostly forgotten fictionalization of barnstorming teams challenging the wealthier owners of the Negro League teams. Billy Dee Williams plays a renamed Satchel Paige and James Earl Jones plays a character based on George Foster. Mabel King steals film in every scene she is in though. Really fun forgotten baseball movie which I highly recommend.
