This game needs a massive rehaul on the offensive side of the gameplay.
Two years ago it was "Input matters" and "PCI placement is most important". That dumb Placebo Contact Initiator can be on the ball, off the ball, doesn't matter you can achieve the same result.
You've muddied the waters so much with the PCI it really only seems to matter on Legend if you place it worth a [censored]. Timing and location of the hitter has to be in sync with each other. I shouldn't be able to nail the timing but miss the "contact" zone of the PCI and hit balls hard. I'm controlling the hitter in Zone hitting, if I'm off the ball with the PCI I shouldn't be putting balls in play. Maybe a foul ball or heaven forbid a swing and miss.
Balls right on the edge of the PCI are a death sentence. It's a weak flyout or pop out in foul territory. A lot of times it was a close miss. Why is a closer to good input in a system generating consistently worse results than inputs where the PCI isn't on the ball?
