Pitchers can get PXP for Pitching AND hitting; why can't batters get PXP for hitting AND fielding?

Because it would be way too easy to parallel hitters if they got pxp for fielding. Put a non catcher at catcher on rookie and they literally get pxp almost every play of the game.

Not if they make it so you only acquire XP on putouts and assists. Maybe bonus XP for double play/triple plays. This would make fielding even more important

At this point in the game cycle pitchers need the boost more than the hitters. There really aren’t many good SP cards yet…at least that I have found/used. All FOTF SP cards are batting practice, but the program’s hitter cards are quite serviceable.
