Care to explain why this game rewards non PCI hits? SDS can’t/won’t.
Because that’s baseball…Bloop hits happen every game. Hard hit, Barreled up [censored] are caught for lineouts all the time. These things are part of the game of baseball. I swear 1/2 this community has never watched an actual baseball game before. Mind boggling some of the complaints here.

Dude…Once again, That’s Baseball…Every team wins 1/3 of their games & lose 1/3 of their games - It’s what they do with the other 1/3 that determines if they are making the playoffs or watching on their couch. The two best records ever are owned by the 1906 Cubs & the 2001 Mariners who both won 116 games…Then both lost in the playoffs. THAT’S BASEBALL! So yes, I am fine losing to “lesser skilled” opponents because that’s how this game goes.

Contact hitters have been booty cheeks for me. Contact swing or normal swing, good contact ends up as a lazy fly out way too often

I don't want to speak to soon but I think the game is pretty solid so far except for a few things. Mainly servers and bloop hits on jammed fast [censored] inside. But it forces me not to spam those pitches. Offline is a bore but that's not SDS fault, I just find it as a time waster. Exit velocities can be a bit better. Game is fun though. Contact hitters are definitely better also. Lots of gap shots it's not homerun or nothing this year.
Not from what I’ve played…. I lose giving up 4 hits all solo shots on pitches that rarely go out. Too many pulled down and away off speeds going out. If they oppo it, fair enough, but not pulled. awful shat imo

But, you’ll have to play through all the bs the game is going to throw at you. If you struggle getting through that bs, the inferior opponent could squeeze out a W.
If you take 2 evenly skilled players, it’s a dice roll on who gets that one lucky break during the game to squeeze out a W. I’d say at least half of my online W’s could have gone either way against another good player. It realistically comes down to who got luckier with getting rewarded.
Luck, luck, luck…it plays a huge role in this game.

While I get that it's frustrating losing you basically just described exactly how competition should go. An inferior opponent can maybe squeeze out a win with the right breaks and evenly matched opponents the game can go either way at any moment...

I do notice quite a bit off speed pitches outside that get pulled for bombs with early timing. Pretty unrealistic

No version of The Show is the "greatest" of anything.
MVP 2005 still has vastly better gameplay than any version of The Show.

SDS Devs, Bravo…You guys have made the greatest baseball game in history. I rarely post on these forums because it’s mostly trolls who use this forum to vent because they’re just not very good but blame the game. Just do like I do & ignore them. I just wanted to give my review & props…
First off the gameplay is perfection. I love that contact hitters are just as useable as power hitters now. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the hitting physics. It’s just SO MUCH FUN to be able to use true legends like Clemente & Gwynn and be able to produce like they did on the field. A+
I enjoy all aspects of DD. I make WS routinely but also enjoy the offline grind that Conquest & Mini Seasons provide. Speaking of - Mini Seasons is a great addition…I have really enjoyed this new mode. Props on giving the offline crowd a new mode to enjoy.
Content is outstanding, Same as in recent years. Keep it coming!
My only complaint is that the servers are still not up to par. Several times when I’ve been loading into a RS game it suddenly dashboards me and I take a loss. This is frustrating. If you can fix this then this game will be PERFECT.
In closing…This is the most fun I’ve had playing the show ever. Please don’t make any big patches or changes, This game is amazing. Thank you SDS for your amazing work!

lol if this game is SO BAD & makes you this f’ing miserable then why do you play it? Why don’t you find a game that meets all your expectations & play that instead? Seriously…Games are meant to be fun & entertaining. I never get the guys that just complain & whine NON STOP ALL YEAR yet finish the game with ridiculous hours put into a game that makes them miserable & angry. Just bizarre behavior.
