The elephant in the room

Just wondering when SDS will recognize the elephant standing in the middle of the room. Co op, broken. Mini Seasons, broken. RTTS still bug ridden. Franchise, yeah right. I wanted to support them so i preordered the MVP edition. Shame on me. Nothing I wanted from this game works atm.

What bugs are in RTTS?
-
you will sometimes get the wrong Upgraded Archetype meaning you never receive your New Archetype and will be stuck on whatever color you had forever (both my characters it happened to were stuck on silver)
You have to go through the tutorials pretty much everytime you log in (this isn't just RTTS tho)
People have mentioned that their archetype missions aren't updating after games (I haven't had this one tho so can't confirm)
Gear doesn't upgrade your stats on some items (specifically speed for my character, but have heard other stats also)
Some people say they get STUCK ADVANCING TO 2ND SEASONThese are the main ones I've seen or heard aboot.

I’m having trouble with my screen going completely black while doing the RTTS throwing thing with the right stick. It’s not every time but it’s pretty frequent. Don’t know if it’s a switch thing though. Never had the issue on PS4 In previous seasons.

I love that everybody thinks that they are just laying back with their feet up ignoring all of it.
I don't think that they communicate with their players nearly enough but I do believe that all these issues are being worked on. The troubleshooting and patching is probably much, much harder now that there are 3 consoles to coordinate everything on.

I love paying good money for a BETA version of the game. It’s great.

So if you buy a 2023 car and get it home only to find out that it will only run every other day, the advertised AC doesn’t work and your power windows were a new feature to this model so you gotta wait for a patch for them to function, will you excuse the manufacturer because it took a lot of time to develop the new model?

I get what you’re trying to say but your analogy didn’t quite correlate. Comparing a car you probably need to survive, is completely different from a video game that needs patching every year since at least MLB the Show 08. There’s nothing we can do but wait for a patch. Cursing them isn’t going to make them move faster.

Funny, those all sound like soon to be Tesla "Premium" features.

It’s paid for goods or services. Wether or not the goods or services are a necessity or luxury have no bearing on the responsibility of the provider.
I agree that there is nothing we can do. Patching games is an awesome but a much abused thing with game developers as a whole. It gives them incentive to push out whatever they have, broken or not with the caveat of fixing it later. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t.

I only play custom leagues and I used to play online franchise but this year the custom league’s hitting/pitching difficulty is defaulted on Veteran or All Star. And I play Hall of Fame, so trust me we’re in the same boat when it comes to waiting on SDS for certain fixes. I disagree with your analogy though bro

Just came to the forums today to see if I was warranted in skipping The Show this year. And everything looks to be right. Maybe I skip next year too and try 2K as my sports fix. These are all the same reasons they lost me as a customer a few years back. Same Copy and Paste game that ends up being a waste of time waiting for patches, and grinding all my gaming time away only for the progress to be pointless once April comes around with the new game. At least a game like COD:MW from 2019, I can still play and have plenty of people online playing without feeling like we're playing on an outdated game.
There has to be some kind of new model eventually. Bi-yearly releases. Maybe a Fortnite-esque model that is free to play but with paid battle passes or something. Cuz at this rate, I'll probably only buy the Show every 3-4 years unfortunately.
