saying to sell off your FOTF players; as the main object is to complete the LS Collection.
Now, I partly agree with this as SDS will eventually flood the market with these packs and they'll all be around QS value.
However, there in lies the dilemma. Right now, most are going for around 12-20K; except for the ones in the AL West (last sellable pack in the path).
Eventually those will drop to around 12-20K.
But with the new QS formula, even with SDS eventually giving these packs out like candy, do you think they'll drop much lower?
They'll more than likely be needed for a few mega collections; so isn't it better to keep them, since their so low right now, than to have to worry about them jumping up once a collection is revealed or having to wait until we get more packs?
Remember, chances are unless it's late in the game's cycle, you can only pick one per pack.

A few people on here having been commenting about selling these players off to fund the LS Collection.

Who says that is the main object. If you don't have a huge desire to play with the collection reward players then why should that be the main object.
Call me old school, but the main object should be to simply have fun no matter how you choose to do it (as long as it does not affect others negatively).
-
You seem to have a grasp on what's going on within the game. It all comes down to what you want and the fastest route to achieve that. There will always be another collection, there will always be ups and downs in the market. What do you want out of the game you paid for right now tho?

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that completing any collection is a main goal.
I'm just stating that a few people have mentioned that other than buying stubs, flipping or having pack luck; the easiest way to finish the LS Collection is to sell off anything that isn't tied to that goal.
As you can always buy back what you sold.
I'm just trying to figure out if the 72-120K that I would get if I sold all 6 of my sellable FOTF players is worth it in the long run.
72-120K will maybe get you some of the lesser teams completed or one of the big guys; but then you still have hundreds, if not thousands, of other players to buy.
Is it good to get the LA Collection done early? Yes and no.
Yes because now you can use these players and don't have to worry about finishing it.
No because until other collections drops; you have nothing to "play for' at that moment. -

And I only sold him to finish the dodgers and get Kirk Gibson because I started to get impatient. I have sold the br rewards, half the event rewards and EVERY LS card under 90

I just took Bottom in my first sellable pack as he fit what I needed.
Now I can get to sell him for 15K after taxes and get him later when they release more packs.
His QS value is 8K. So chances are, once SDS floods the game with free packs; all these cards will be at minimum 8K.
Maybe more for the 'studs'.
Is it worth it for me to sell him and get the 15K; knowing that I may need to buy him back later, if I don't want to wait for free packs, once they release a reward that has the set in it's collection requirements?
And if I sell all 6 and get on average 15K each; that's only 90K. That won't even get me one of the 90+ LS cards.

No because until other collections drops; you have nothing to "play for' at that moment.Depends on your goal. If your goal is to do the ls collection, you can sell. Problem is that figure would only buy one of the big ones which hurts your chances to have the best rs team. I sold Tatis for like 123k and got Miggy, Soto, Cheap Tatis and Perez which helped my RS team a lot more than Tatis. I don't plan on doing collections either unless I pull Trout which would be a first for me.

Chances are they'll be needed for a collection. They won't make late buyers of the game have to buy all 30 players to complete the collection.
I'm thinking the next program is Part 2 where they have 6 more non sellable packs and 6 more regular Choice packs.
That will give everyone a chance at 24/30.
Also, I wouldn't put it past SDS to revisit the LOTF cards from two years ago.

Possibly, but the collection as it is now you need 12 to complete which is what they give you. If it was collect 20 and they only gave us 12 then yeah i would say chances for future packs are probable. But we don't know if they did it this way for team diversity early game or not.

Honestly, I wouldn't sell them, especially if they fit a need on your squad and/or you have no immediate desire to finish LS collection. Worst case scenario you lose out on the difference between price now and Qs if you hold, but if you sell them the risk is technically unlimited. I only typically sell cards that I know I can get back for cheaper later.
Still too much unknown about the fotf future drops or collection requirements. I was only willing to sell 1, and only because that one card helped me immediately finish one of my goals, and had no spot on my main roster with how deep my team is in the OF already.I am traditionally pretty risk averse though, and there are short term benefits in having a decent amount of stubs while the rest of the playerbase is relatively broke

How much do you want to bet at least 1 additional choice pack will be a reward in the upcoming event to play with the featured cards?
-
I’m trying to keep my assets liquid. For now I am holding on the FOTF cards but not locking the collections.
LS cards will have overalls go up and down. LS cards will always have a chance to drop from Show Packs. There are only a few collections I want done for specific positions/players. Supercharge cards make it worthwhile for me to fill in silver and golds for teams…and I just want enough of each team to complete missions.
On the other hand, FOTF pitchers SUCK. They are the only ones I consider selling to buy back later.

The next program is a three week program that has five bosses, we get two. That was already announced.
Program three is two weeks, one boss.
