And before you say “it’s only the first week, chill out” last year at release, we had first inning, team affinity, and Topps now. This year, we only have team affinity and first inning morphed into one, and no topps now. Last year, between doing moments, collections, exchanges, and objectives, we had the opportunity to get 31 diamonds (all 30 teams team affinity card and the first inning boss of your choice) and now we have the opportunity at 10 (2 per division)…. I can’t be the only one completely underwhelmed and disappointed by this years game to this point…
There's 6 divisions. 2 per division is 12.

Have you looked at the home page?
I don't think that's a link for the TN in the game. Pretty sure that's a link if you want to buy the Topps Now cards from their website.
If Topps Now isn’t going to be in the game this year, why would SDS put a link to it on their home page?
My bad there. I thought you meant that was the link to where you can find TN cards from TheShow.

....content is rolling out slowly but steady. I wonder if there will be something today since the schedule has opening day marked.

They said in last weeks stream that they had something planned for opening day but did not say what that was.

People also forget that last year the game released 2 weeks into the season and SDS clearly stacked that content into release.

I always feel the need to specify the difference between content and cards in the game, because they're not the same thing. As far as content (which is actual playable stuff), I think it's pretty much the same if not more compared to previous years with the addition of mini seasons.
Now as far as cards concerned, I personally don't dislike this strategy. Live series players are actually usable now and hopefully they will be for a little while. Take last year for example, the game was cluttered with 99s. Basically anyone who did something got a 99. I don't like that. Less cards brings a little bit of well needed balance, especially early on like now.
I think if players woke up in the morning or just showed up for the game, they got a 99 topps now card. Definitely won’t miss them if they are gone for good
