Switch Successfully Linked

I can't seem to link my account on my Switch to my Xbox. Do both of my devices need to be present with me? Or since I brought my Switch can I just use that to link it? On the MLB The Show website, I login with my Xbox login, but I can't select the option to link to my switch account. Like there is no place to put the code that pops up on my switch in. Can anyone help with that? I'm getting a bit frustrated with it.
The only device you need on hand is the one you are linking, and that is only to get the code from it.
On your computer, log into your The Show account (the black and white icon). That account enables you to link and unlink your other accounts. The other accounts will only show you what is linked/unlined.

I had to unlink and relink both accounts multiple times, but it seems like it finally took this time.

With all the nightmare posts flying around about linking XBoxes and Switches to Playstations, I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to do it. Well, I'm here to tell you that it links just fine and there are no problems. I have my current progression on both my PS5 and my Switch. In case anyone needs to know, here is what I did:
- I started MLBTS22 on my Switch and set it up as its own game (including creating a My Ballplayer).
- I accepted the terms and conditions
- I clicked on the icon by my name and clicked through the tutorial.
- I clicked on Link Account under the My Profile Screen
The Switch then generated a code for me to enter into my The Show account.
- I logged into my The Show account and entered the link code.
- I got a screen asking me which account I wanted to continue my progression on.
- I chose my PS account.
- It then told me that there was a discrepancy in the My Ballplayer on my Switch and on the server and asked which one I wanted to keep. I chose the My Ballplayer from my PS5 (the one on the server).
- I then quit the game and went back into it and everything was perfect.
- I logged out of my The Show account and logged into my PS account and checked the marketplace and inventory on the web and everything was perfect.
- I logged into the game on my PS5 to verify and everything is perfect.
It all works just as they said it would. Also, the error I was getting when logging into my Nintendo account (before tonight) on theshow.com now redirects me to the screen showing my accounts and which ones are linked.
YOU ARE A LIFE SAVIOR. Thanks, dude!

You will not lose your DD progress or items when you unlink. All of that is on the server. When you relink, make sure you choose your Xbox account as your main account, and then your Switch can be used to cross-progress.

There is a box to enter the code in when you log into your The Show account (the black and white icon at theshow.com).

The box to enter the link code is on the web at theshow.com, not in the game. If you don’t have a The Show account, create one. If you do, log into it and then enter the code from your game on your Switch. The step by step directions are in the first post of this thread. I’ve been told that it’s easiest to log into your The Show account from a computer and not a mobile device.

Am I doing something wrong when I try to link? I get to the screen where you are supposed to enter the code. I enter it, and on the website it says the account is linked, but the screen on the Xbox or Switch that says it will automatically go away, never goes away. And If I back out, it doesn't appear linked on the console.
Did you ever get this to work. I am
Having this exact issue with the Xbox. Put the code in the computer, it shows linked. Screen doesn’t change like it says it will and if I back out or reboot, the link never goes they the console despite it showing linked on my show account. And I am
Picking the profile where I have all the progress. -

You lost your stubs and stuff because you selected the wrong account as your main account. Unlink your accounts and relink them but this time, select the account that has your stubs and progress on it. Also, if you purchased stubs on one system, they won't show up on the other. Only stubs you earn are shared. Hope this helps.

So I linked my switch to my ps5 and my RTTS transferred but not my DD. What I do wrong ?

It’s not a transfer issue. Nothing transfers. What happens after you link, is that you give your Switch access to read and write data to the PS server (if you made your PS account your primary). Why only part of the data is accessible doesn't make sense.
To be more accurate, when you link your NIN account to your PS account, you are instructing the game to bypass the NIN servers and talk directly to the PS servers. When you unlink, then you go back to the NIN servers.
If you're sure your PS account is your primary, then you should submit a ticket. You can always unlink and relink too, to make sure you selected your PS account as primary. This is assuming your DD progress is in your PS.

Hi I had a question about linking my account. I have not been able to log into my show account on website to link a new account. I’ve tried resetting passwords and nothing. Can not get into my account. Can someone help. Did I get banned or something. Someone else I knew was able to access their show account.
I’ve also submitted ticket but have not heard back in about a week

From the information you've given, only SDS can assist you.

Okay well I’m glad it’s not just me. Could I possibly create and new show account and link my Xbox even though it’s linked to the account I don’t have access?
Don’t see it possible as if I unlinked I would lose my progress which is trims from all year
