mini seasons pro tip

quit out and don't even play some of the games against the bad opponents. you want them to win so you face them in the playoffs. you only need to win 18 of the 30 or so games to finish in 1st or 2nd place so once you get there just start and quit the games, don't waste your time.

If you can beat the good teams, what's the point in tanking against the weak teams?
I think its easier just to play the games and win them all!!!

Sometimes at launch its not even worth it to play until the issues get fixed. Im personally now at 18-3 in mini seasons (my 3 losses due to unhandled server exceptions/game freezes). Im not even gonna bother playing the last few games because im up by 8 over the 2nd place team. Im gonna quit out of them, play the playoff games for the rewards then play RTTS until they fix this mode.
I considered playing MTO too but after last years fiasco where you could play a half season just to find out you've been randomly selected to not get any TA points, I'm all set. I'll get to the AS break just to find out I've gotten no xp. I'll wait a few months for that.

I've played 3 games. I've won all 3 but I'm 2-1. Ugh.

The only reason I'm playing it on HOF.
Can't wait to go back through a second time on veteran for the rewards.

you can just start and quit the rest of the games. no reason to play them at all. get to playoffs fast

Idk, I played a team with 99 Johnson and all of the other big bad diamonds. I won 1-0 in large part to a walk followed by a hit by pitch. I wouldn’t mind not playing that team in the playoffs. I’m playing on hall of fame to try to complete all missions though, so I don’t want to give up any losses when possible.

Looks like they at least fixed the random losses that weren’t losses. I haven’t lost yet , yet my record is like 3-4.

Yeah - I just go 20-0 and then basically quit out from there to keep the one seed. Goes faster and at this point I’m just trying to farm stubs and packs as quickly as I can.

Because its:
A) Human nature
B) Irl MLB they're always looking for advantages. Sign stealing, etc. -
This game mode is currently unplayable. Once you get to the finals every game loaded triggers an unhandled exception error.

Thats pretty much what im doing. Im a fairly good hitter up til All Star...after that, im inconsistent and im not about to go through a HoF/Legend difficulty sweat-fest for a Longoria that probably wont be in my lineup come May lol. The packs you get for those bonuses wont be worth it either. Im one of those pulling commons and bronze while everyone else is posting about pulling 3 Trouts and a Degrom from a 5 pack.

Agreed but unfortunately that’s the way sports games have turned, it’s become a grind culture, it’s even promoted as such in the promotion of the game. The next card is the goal, not the experience.
Give me Franchise, Leagues or RTTS any day of the week
