Fastballs are too quick.
-
People complained about pitch speed, so... yeah.
-
I honestly think the fastballs should be faster and hitting should be extremely hard especially on higher difficulties
-
On what level? I haven't played on legend yet but would not say fastballs are too quick on any level hall of fame or lower
-
What difficulty are you talking about, OP?
-
I'm just over .500 in ranked seasons so its not a high difficulty. Does mlb the show monitor this do maybe they will fix it?

Pitch speeds feel the same to me as last year at that level/difficulty.
-
No way. I played over 1000 games in dd last year and ended about 25 games over .500. They were fine in first week or so but its definitely changed now.
-
Well, in MLB, if players aren’t ready to hit a fastball, they won’t. “Look fast / fight curve” is a saying for a reason.
People just want to sit offspeed and foul off every every heater with very late timing.
The fastball is the primary pitch for 75% of pitchers in the game, you have to be looking for it.

If they lower the pitch speeds they can’t reward the hitting like they seem to be trying to do that unbalances the game. In order to reward pci placement and timing they have to make it hard to do. Or at least challenging even for the best players.
That’s a skill gap. Lowering the pitch speeds just caters to poor gameplay.

They were too slow the first week imo. Now it feels the same as last year to me. Maybe you got used to the slow speeds the first week?
-
If so I should have adjusted because I've played about 15 games since they changed it. But there is just no time to gauge it now

I guess. I don't know then, man. Pitch speeds feel about the same as last year to me, with the exception of the friendlies and league games I've played on legend.

I like the pitch speeds
-
I disagree. This is my 3rd year playing and fastballs have always been hard to hit but now irs laughable. There is no comparison to 18 and 19.

Nothing should ever compare to the pitch speeds in 18.
-
Well they for sure haven’t changed from launch to now so I don’t know what to tell you

The thing is, even if pitch speeds are a little too high, the game is in a good place after 1.05. I’m terrified that if the community does too much more complaining, SDS will do another crazy patch and make the game less enjoyable. This is basically what happened from 1.03 to 1.04.
-
Lol your the only one that thinks so. Look at all the other posts in all the threads. Everyone has seen it.
-
If you never played the show prior to 18 and 19 then you have nothing to compare it to. The last two years were a joke pitch speed wise. Everybody could pick up a controller and not be late on a fastball but still wait on off speed. Pitch speeds are completely fine, if you can't catch up to a fastball it is a skill issue.

Did they change pitch speeds this patch?
