USA Conquest Map

I noticed that you this doesn't have a Steal 'X' amount of Fans mission.
So, is it worth wasting time on a Steal Fans game?
I haven't done one yet and am on turn 10 and I've only captured one Stronghold.
I went straight for Minnesota and then tried going along the top of the map.
Now I'm attacking Colorado's stronghold on All Star.
Normally I do Steal Fans on Rookie; but wondering if it's worth the time or if I do want to steal fans; try to do it on AS, or Veteran, at least.

I just captured as much empty territory as possible so I could get more reinforcements. I didn't steal any fans and still got all the goals done. I think it's a waste of time unless you are good enough to steal fans on higher difficulties.

Yeah; I messed up. I went for a stronghold before taking empty territories.
Depending on how I do with the game vs Colorado; I may start the map over.

Not in my opinion, especially doing it on rookie since you get only one extra. I just immediately take over the Rockies in two turns, use all that empty space in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho etc, and build a wall from there.
Take the west coast, move south and take Kansas/Texas, and then use that wall to move east

Yeah; I'm torn right now.
I beat Colorado and Minnesota of All Star and have some territories; but I have a feeling I would be better off restarting and doing what you said.
Only thing is I would have to play Colorado and Minnesota again and I don't know if that will mess up those Prospect packs????
I would assume not because I haven't got any yet.

No it won't mess up the prospect packs if you restart and they are repeatable so you can get as many of the prospects as you want.
I will say i normally play 2 steal fans games. One against Minnesota and one against Colorado from there you can play every stronghold on Veteran or above. With simulation improved you can fly through the map this year.
My only trouble came at the end with having to win 4 games against Boston (easy enough) and 4 against Cincinnati (who i could not beat to save my life)

Always take the Rockies right of the rip, head north west to Seattle and work your way south. If you’re able to win consistently on all star you can take the whole west coast before they have much of a chance to grow
-
I always do at least one steal fans at the beginning just to get the ball rolling a little plus I like the XP/Parallels so might as well.
You definitely don’t have to though, just protect your border and take as many spots as you can.
-
I also noticed there weren’t nearly as many rewards in the map compared to last year

This is my strategy here. Same as last year. Just expand West first, then capture Seattle and work your way down the West coast.

I finished all the CQ maps first thing I did. I love how fast the SIM are. I take out COL on AS then go take out AZ, SD, LAD, LAA, OAK, SF, SEA. Tex, HOU, KC, MIN then keep moving east. Finished it in 32 turns. I am on my third go of the the Mystery Map getting those free 5 packs. It is easier than last years map.
-
When the game dropped I started off east cause the prospects and jerseys were expensive and picked up so extra stubs. Going back west sucked. I had to probably sim 2.5 hours and played the Rookies 12 times cause they took over the west. At this point I suggest taking out the west first.

I am doing this map too. I started with MN and then went down. I finished taking Florida last night. I’m also on turn 10. I always go straight for the strongholds and then take rest once they’re gone. I will steal fans (on AS) to get more fans to reach a stronghold, usually from the stronghold I heading for. Now, I’ll head up and take the East, and then go after the West last.
I too have noticed that the map is lacking in rewards…it doesn’t seem to have as many as last year.

I honestly don't remember last year. But I know in previous years they had no hidden rewards in the big map. I was kind of happily surprised this year when packs occasionally pop up.
-
i finished this in the first 6-7 hours the game dropped. it's so easy if you just follow the rule of enforcing to one less than your neighbor as you move west and then loop down through texas and florida and back up to the east.
-
btw, don't forget to always pick your 5th pitcher as your starter and you can always sub in after the game gets going. so much easier when you're facing bronze pitchers.
-
Don't bother. Takes a little longer / few more turns to get going and building up your fan amounts but I didn't waste my time "stealing" fans.
-
I’m not sure if it’s the game or the PS5 console, but I am also loving the quickness to sim games when taking over hexagons, seems like it less than 3 seconds as opposed to 10+ seconds for each in the past
-
Stealing fans is never a waste of time, because it gives you the amount of fans you steal. Which especially early on, will double the amount of reinforcements you can use. I cleared the USA map last year in no time by stealing fans on legend every single turn. It allows you to clear almost half the map without most of the strongholds having a lot of reinforcements and most hexagons are still empty.
The only downside to this is that you have to be able to win on legend consistently. But even then, stealing on AS or HOF will still net you 3 or 4 fans per turn respectively which is still worth it.

To me, it is only worth it if you are trying to finish the map in the fewest possible rounds. Otherwise the time spent in the Steal Fans games negates the benefits, at least for me.
I finished on turn 23 and only ever steal fans once, and that is against the Rockies early on so I can play them on Veteran (I play all games on Vet)
