I'm against having rewards in co-op personally.
-
Game is still very easily NMS. Has been since 15 and there are still more avenues to make stubs than those previous years.

If you play online only you earn hardly any XP. I shouldn't have to spend 12 hours playing Conquest just to make some program progress. Moments too. Save that ish. Give more in-game XP. Simple as that.
Shut up you whiny sack.
-
The really bad is that Moments haven’t changed at all. Sheesh. I’ll be avoiding them again this year. What a waste.

Moments are so inane. I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do less…

That’s an interesting take, because as an offline player I saw how much easier online players had it last year in terms of XP and especially paralleling cards. I played a ton last year and only got one card to P5.

While parallels do go faster naturally online due to the multiplier on PXP, I'm pretty sure every 1/1 for every card that got there was done mostly through CPU play. If your entire goal is getting a card to P5, CPU is by far the fastest option

That’s interesting — I would never have thought games vs CPU would get you there faster because I always figured the multiplier was crucial. I guess the best strategy was to play 9-inning games on legend? I played an obscene amount of conquest (almost always on All-Star) and the PXP just added up sooo slllowwwwllltyy.

For pitchers, 9 inning games on legend. For Hitters, 2 AB on vet or allstar and quit

That makes sense. I don’t really care about paralleling (particularly not to get there first) so it’s probably not worth all the extra hassle to play like that.

it’s about as boring as watching Bob Ross paint a picture.
Hey, take that back!!!!!

The good - gameplay
The bad - commentary (yikes), not enough content for offline players yet (that will probably change)
The ugly - face of the franchise packs beign random. What gives on this, i was really hoping to get Trout in one form or another out of the gate and I was excited to see him in Faces of the Franchise but making it a 1 in 5 chance is asinine especially because you only get 12 choices and then have to buy the others for now. Sure they will be in packs like crazy going forward but silly move.
-
Why is it that they have released this game for maybe 20 years straight and every time its like the first time they're doing it?

When you get to the next AL West FOTF on the program path it is a choice pack I believe.

Yes and from what i understand it's random who you get out of the choice pack. I'm not there personally but according to another poster thats how it's working at least this time around.
So you might get Trout but you could get Haniger or Murphy.

I would be surprised if that is the case.
The first pack says "1 Player"
The second pack at 405,000 says "Choose one player"Unless you are saying that the later pack won't present you will all 5 options I assume you can choose.

Will see when i get there, if thats the case thats fine and i hope your right but i'd be lying if i said i wasn't a little pessimistic at this point. I'm well off though (only 50,000)

I'm sure some people are closing in on it. I am only at 100k so I have not reached the first one yet.
We should know at 255k since that is the first "Choose One" pack you get. It is for the NL Central. I want that Tommy Edman so we will see how it goes.
AL West, unfortunately is the last of the divisions we get that pack for, that is probably how they are trying to limit it.

First one is actually 120,000 but it's no sell.
-
They are different packs.
The first pack for each division is a random choice and is no sell. The second pack for each division is a choice pack and, I believe, is sellable. I am pretty sure that is what they said in last Thursday's stream. I am too lazy to go check though.
You are able to put buy orders in on them so that hints at the second pack (the choice one) being a sellable reward.
