I know from the FAQ and from an email from Joe at SDS about a completely unreleased issue that we are unable to transfer preorder bonuses from Switch to other consoles.

What I want to know is what that actually looks like for people who:

    1. Purchased the digital deluxe on Switch
    2. Linked to an MLB The Show account.
    3. Have actually played on Playstation or Xbox.

I have to wait for the Game Pass version, so I'm curious about what I'll be walking into. These are the bonuses:

    25K Stubs.
    4 Day Early Access.
    2 Diamond Choice Packs.
    5 Gold Choice Packs.
    20 The Show Packs.
    1 Ballplayer Pack.
    Double Daily Login Rewards.

Okay, so I already know the stubs wouldn't transfer. That's nothing new, and it is easily solved with some market transactions. I know early access wouldn't transfer, and I assume they mean the unopened packs wouldn't transfer. What if they're opened? For example, if I picked Mantle and Ohtani out of those packs, does that mean they won't be on Xbox when I boot up? Same for any of the cards you pull out of those specific gold and show packs?

If that were the case, would it be like the stubs where all you would have to do is sell and repurchase on the market to get a clean cross console version? Any input from those who actually have digital deluxe on Switch and have played on another platform would be appreciated.

I think the are talking about the packs themselves and not he items inside them that become your inventory.

I am in the same situation you are so I'm am very curious about it.

my big concern is that I did they link process correctly I see they are all linked but I don't know if they are all link till Tuesday lol

I'm looking over the FAQ again, and these two answers seem to contradict one another.

    Will Nintendo support Cross Progression?
Yes! You can move from platform to platform and retain all your items and inventory. Cross-platform progression requires an internet connection and for each platform you play on: 1) a copy of the MLB The Show 22 game compatible with your console (other platform versions sold separately); and 2) platform network account linked to your MLB The Show account.

If I purchase on multiple platforms and my accounts are linked, will I get bonus items from each purchase?
"...Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition or the digital version of the Standard Edition on Nintendo Switch will not be able to share bonus items across platforms, even with linked accounts..."

It could just be their choice of wording, but I can't tell if they mean the cards in the packs you open won't transfer, or just that you can't stack multiple pre-order bonuses like you could apparently do with Xbox and Playstation. There are people that are reporting that the cards themselves are not transferring over to other consoles, but I know SDS made the linking process more complicated than it needs to be so they might not be doing that part properly.

Locking people out of content they spent $40 on because they want to actually use the cross progression seems too incredibly stupid to be real, so I have to assume it's just confusion and miscommunication.

I am in this exact situation. The problem is that you cannot link your switch profile to your show profile on the website until after you have completed the tutorial. There’s a code you have to acquire from within the switch game that simply isn’t available till after you’ve already done most everything. So when I booted up my Xbox version after starting on the switch, I had absolutely nothing from the switch. I opened all my Xbox pre-order packs and built a new team. When I went back to the switch nothing was there. I unlinked and linked it back and I could see my Xbox team on my switch but nothing from my switch pre-order packs. If I unlink my switch profile then the team I initially built on the switch is there.

I just got done linking my Switch to my PS4 account. I didn't even open the packs, I didn't figure they would transfer. I had the 25k in stubs on Switch but as soon as I linked it with my PS4 account my main squad appeared and my stubs dropped to what I had.

It's a trip playing on a Switch Lite, first time in at least 10 years I've played a decent handheld game.
