Not worth four days early access

The game is entirely the same as last year and I hope anyone sees this and second guesses on getting the pre-order. It is completely not worth it. I have played The Show since 2012 and the only immersive improvement we have seen from this company is the graphics on the game which doesn't come from them as the same people who make this game are the people who make the PS5 console. So, in retrospect this company has not made a significant change to this game and it this point they are just taking 70 dollars from us for us to just have new uniforms to use.

I know baseball is like the same each and every year! Maybe Manfred should change up the game of baseball so we could have a different video game to play!

Have you tried playing a game? there is a noticeable difference in how the game feels at least for me.pitching is definitely a little harder, last year i could pitch with my eyes closed with any pitcher. not quite as accurate this year, which i think is better.

this comparison is horrible. Huge difference between a real life game that's been around for hundreds of years and a stagnant video game. This game has not had any significant feature changes in years. only small quality of life changes and new DD content. neither of those things have enough depth to make the game feel fresh every year.

most major sports revisit and update their rules every year. The NFL changes multiple rules every single offseason and its the most successful league on the planet.

I said this before, but if you went into this game expecting a major overhaul then that is on you for having unrealistic expectations. These games operate on a development cycle. They just overhauled last year. This is a tweak year.

they could start with actually updating RTTS and franchise for starters, more immersion would be nice for RTTS. Make the dialog decisions actually matter, update the dialog and the intro that's been the same for the last 2-3 years, allow us to play in a combine that effects where our player gets drafted, make contracts actually mean something etc etc...
there is a lot they can do and yet they chose to copy and paste both of those modes this year from 21.

They literally just made significant changes to the mode that completely changed it last year. Yes, they are not well received by most of the base, but those changes were in the works for years. They aren't going to redo the mode again in a year. Also they had the scout day that affected your draft position and people hated it.

people hated the scout day bc it was the same thing for over and over again for 4-5 years and they never updated it until they went to the current narrative thats been the same for the last 3 years

I noticed the same thing and thought it was just the fact that I didn't have 99 OVR cards yet.
I've been using Randy Johnson a lot and been finding first pitch strikes aren't automatic any more. -

I've been using Randy Johnson a lot and been finding first pitch strikes aren't automatic any more.My first DD game with Randy Johnson on the mound he gets nailed by a comebacker in the 2nd inning and literally got knocked back onto the mound all splayed out in dramatic fashion and had to leave the game. Never had that happen this early and in this fashion before, in fact it was so early it's the first time I had nobody in the pen warming up and the game pretty much just had me throw my reliever in with 0 warmup. It's something new all right, but I hope it's a fluke because bullpen games suck.

I started a thread in which i really criticized the too often practice of pitchers getting hit (and sometimes beaned) by baseballs. Well, a bunch of posters thought I was wrong. In real life, this doesn't happen very often. It happens a lot more in this game than real life. I don't think that's a great idea.
