Account Linking Issue

I would appreciate some input from a mod or dev.

I had an MLB The Show account for 21 with my Playstation and Xbox accounts linked. Playstation was the primary. Never had a problem and was able to go back and forth seamlessly.

This year I got the digital deluxe on Switch and I will eventually play on Game Pass next week after the normal release. I linked the Switch account to my MLB The Show account from last year so all consoles are on the same account. As I had originally feared, my progress for 21 has been wiped. I know Collin said that nothing is actually deleted, but I'm not sure what to do next.

If I go to unlink the Switch on the console, it says I will lose access to all of my current progress, cloud saves, Diamond Dynasty Collection, etc. That would clearly be a problem since I purchased the digital deluxe and have a team I am happy with, so I backed out for now. No need to potentially make things worse.

Is there any way to make one console the primary for 21 and a different console the primary for 22? Did I need to create a second MLB The Show account for the Switch and Xbox while leaving the Playstation on the other one from last year? If I just unlink the Playstation at this point would that restore the 21 progress on that one, and then I can leave the Switch and Xbox linked for now? What is the best course of action here so I can continue to play 21 on the PS5, and 22 on Switch/Xbox. Thanks.
