Why did players get such steep downgrades from their 2021 ending ratings?

The Cardinals ended the year with 5 live series diamond (Arenado, Goldschmidt, O'Neill, Bader, and Gallegos). They start this year with only 1 diamond (Arenado).
Bader for example dropped from an 85 to an 81. That seems steep.
Did other teams see similar drops in their players?
I guess on the plus side they will now be cheaper to buy as I look to complete the Cardinals first.

So that they can be upgraded via Roster Updates.

It is not that huge of a deal to me, but it just seems a little arbitrary.
Mainly curious if others noticed ratings drop or 3 or 4 points for their team's best players.

Be interesting to look at their ending 21 cards and beginning 22 cards and see what attributes SDS slashed to bring them down?
