Whatever happens to building a team.

Don't get me wrong; I like that SDS just hands out content.
But these FOTF cards they are going to have Day 1 are ridiculous.
Here they are again playing Oprah and handing out Diamonds left and right.
Why not start off with Golds and work your way up?
-
Who cares? I know guys who will drop thousands on day 1 and still can't hit a beach ball.
-
I mean, have you seen the stats? None of them are screaming OP at all.
And because starting off with golds doesn't make people spend $ (I know these cards are free, I'm just talking in general)

They should wait a month to release stuff like 1st Inning program, TA1 so live series cards are useable for a little while. It would make the game stay fresh longer.

overall is just a number in the corner. The attributes we have seen so far have been pretty in line with TA1 in 21, and those were 88's

Wait, is that one of the new gameplay options? First it was adjust PCI icon, then locking PCI in a location….is there an option to make it look like a beach ball?!?

This is called your opinion. It doesn't make it fact. Lots of people support day 1 90s. Tons of people can't afford or get lucky to get trout early so this is their chance to play with their hero. None of these cards are OP at all. Lots of the 90 diamonds are inflated in categories that don't mean anything in game. Some people just like the shiny blue cards. There will be mid level gold's that perform better. Plus we don't know what if any active quirks the fotf cards will possess. We can't possibly be complaining about a game that hasn't even pre released yet.

Alright that's fair, I want live series cards to stay useable longer but I agree that the cards in the featured program are not OP. Not complaining about the game as we have yet to see what most of it looks like but I'm just suggesting a change in the way content is released at the beginning of the season.

It's literally 2 numbers higher than the 88s last year. There should be a complaints section on this forum hahaha.
Legit, these cards are a great way to start out with a bang but personally, I like to take my time grinding TA, so I'm in no rush to have my all diamonds squad on day 1

Sounds like the most boring month ever

I don’t do well with trout, but I like that he has a diamond that most people can play with early.. He usually has two harder to get diamonds a year and it’s nice to have a attainable one.. If you think about a casual player or some money spent player barely gets to use Trout or gets him when his live series isn’t usable and has to wait for another unattainable one to come out late.. So I think it’s a W by SDS.

Good point but I think giving out free somewhat juiced cards helps build the player pool. You want as many people playing the game and continuing to play the game. This helps with the market, auction house and finding matches online. If it is strictly pay to play, you lose players really fast. Look at Madden.

I love football and use to be a Madden Junkie. The greed by EA sports did me in on that game. I will never play another Madden game unless they do a 360 and become more like SDS. I will probably give the new NCAA football game a spin. However, I'm sure they will find a way to try to make as much money as possible and ruin it as well.

Don’t think of TA 1 cards as week 1 must haves. They are a stub sink geared towards people who don’t have the patience to wait before doing exchanges. Real games and IE will not go live until 2 weeks after launch…I usually don’t begin HD2’s until 2 weeks after launch. Until then I just need a team capable of crushing veteran and all star conquest games.
