Ive been playing "The Show" everyday since "MLB The Show 18" - and ive watched as the game has become more and more like a Madden type cash grab. Now instead of improving the game we get "Switch" versions, and novelty garbage like "Co-op". Its year 2 on next gen, and the physics have not improved in the slightest, and mechanics like "check swings" are still RNG.
Where is the effort going -- into photo shopping historical uniforms like the Cleveland Indians off player cards. Besides looking amateurish, and cheap, its gutless.Im very disappointed in what i am seeing.

How were you able to play every day since 18 when your id was created in 2020?

"Necessity is the mother of invention" - What necessity does SDS have ? there is no REAL competition. Sure they can tweak some things from year to year and might make it a little different. But honestly it's been a copy/paste it seems for a while now.
I haven't played regularly now for months and am really on the fence about pre-ordering 22. I've played some of the tech test and the hitting and pitching seem a little better ( not sure if it was tweaked in 21 since I haven't played much) But other than that I see no progress. That being said I know it's a tech test, but you still see the same little things that were in 21. At what point are we going to call in a bullpen pitcher and not have his head cut off on the screen. It's things like this that make me believe there will be little difference in this years release. Maybe we were all hoping too much with next gen being out now for a while?
I'm sure I will still pre-order because I love baseball and I love the competition aspect of DD. The content is ALWAYS great too. But I dont see any sort of innovation in gameplay happening.
