Same old franchise?

Anybody else get the impression that franchise mode will be more or less unchanged? Maybe a few small features added, but for the most part the same mode? Looks like another year with tons of resources being poured into diamond dynasty. So many things to add/upgrade but just continue to stay the same.

If they fixed the legacy issues without adding anything new, I might be ok. But if they just left it to rot, then they can go rot.

Last year's Feature Reveal stream covering changes to Franchise and MTO involved the team making an effort to rework some parts of the CPU logic (which is what long time fans continuously ask for every year), and they did mention that this would be something that is a long term goal that they have in mind for those modes.
If you're looking for new features, I don't think it'll be likely since in that same stream, they said that they're more focused on laying down a good foundation first before they tack on more things to Franchise and March to October. I'd expect some more significant AI improvements and probably some streamlining mostly.

Yeah well, that part-time employee did a lousy job of it. They need to stop stringing us along every year to get us to buy and at least start fixing things properly.
You remember "complete minors" or "full minors"? It was a full and complete screwjob to buzz a disenfranchised franchise base and squeeze out a few more day one sales.

Nah bro, they gonna add that now that the CPU will ask for one other player in that mega blockbuster trade where you get Mike Trout for a B, a C and a D rated player now. Oh, and you get to add a logo to the sleeve of your jersey.

Are folks new this year?
I mean kudos for hoping for the best but anybody who has been playing and paying attention the last few years would know better than to expect meaningful changes to the legacy franchise system.
