Hitting seems to be a lot harder than it was in mlb the show 21. I would normally be fine with a little bit of adjustments to hitting. Such as not having bad hits turn into home runs. But pitching clearly has the advantage this year and I don’t think it’s good for the game. The power has gotten overly nerfed and the PCI feels a lot smaller for all star, hof, and legend. It also feels like the timing for swings is way off. Swing timing is a lot later and it makes it almost impossible to hit against outlier. Especially considering that 80% of the pitchers that people are gonna use have outlier. If anything it should be easier to hit against outlier. And I’m also not getting rewarded for good swings just like in past years. And with the hitting seemingly being harder it’s not gonna help when I hit a perfect perfect line drive right to one of the fielders. I think some major changes need to be made in hitting before the game is released. The PCI size was great last year (Maybe a little too small in legend difficulty). The timing was something I was hoping would improve for this years game but in my first impressions it seems to be worse. If the timing on swings and PCI size can be adjusted in the right direction than I think this years game would amazing.

I tried the test on HOF and I was early more often then late. Pitch speeds seemed slow and I faced pitchers like degrom on purpose. Sorry but SDS is show incompetence in developing a game that is playable for everyone in the community

I'm an offline DD and MTO and RTTS player. Played a four inning game on All-Star and had five jacks in those four innings ... and I'm not all that good. So, for me, All-Star seemed a little easier, but have to play more to see. On All-Star pitching I had a hell of time hitting the strike zone. Could have been Glasnow, but seems a little more difficult to locate. Again, small sample.

The OP simply needs to get better, Baseball isn't suppose to be easy...I for one don't want to see this game get noobed down...there is too much emphasis on DD and casual play. Isn't this why there are more casual levels to hit on like Rookie and Easy or whatever they are called now. I think there should be one below Rookie called Casual Noob. Anyways, after trying out to Tech Demo thingy I am liking it, yes it takes better timing and concentration and that makes me salivate cause its more challenging. I couldn't change pitch speeds so I had to hit at the semi slow pace that maybe most of you DD people are use to hitting at. I hope the pitch speeds increase like it was in 2019, also I notice the frame rate on the PS4 was super smooth, even in Yankee stadium..which totally was laggy in 2021, even with no fans in the stands.

I’ll say it again. SDS is a for profit company. They are going to make a game that is fun for 95% of their customers, not the 5% ultra-competitive die hards. If you want difficult baseball, go outside.

There is snow outside!. Anyways why not have both?..Keep Legend/max pitch speeds realistic for players like me and the rest of you 95% pokimon card collecting players can have your causal/rookie/PCI aiming gameplay and the world will be a happier place.

The Tech settings is prolly on All-Star at default pitch speeds, so if you're late on stuff you're in a lot of trouble....or get a monitor. I am super early cause I'm coming off 162 game Franchise on Legend at max pitch speeds. I adjusted after about 20 mins but the pitch speed is obliviously slow with the tech default settings.
