So far a LOT of Perfect-Perfect fly ball outs on the track with power > 99... this is not the way to make contact more relevant

Pretty sure it was down in tech test last year too. Allows them to get more data from fielding.

It seems like contact is the more valuable attribute as opposed to last year's being power. Lowkey weird. I can't hit anything with Ohtani but walsh hits as good as trout. Strange

I’ve played 3 BR games and have seen less HRs. This is a good thing. Lots of singles/doubles but HRs deciding the outcome in 21 was annoying. I’d take this style over Hr derby everyday…

This^. Squaring up on balls and they die at or right before the track. Power is non-existent at all, even with Perfect/Perfects. Noticed this on Ps5 and switch both.
Edit: in online games AND in custom practice as well.

I’ve hit homers, but less.
Remember though, this is a tech test and they get very little data from home runs. Every non-home run hit gives them data from fielding, throwing, and base running. I doubt the actual release plays this weak.

I hit 17 homers in a flawless run tonight in the tech test. I really don't think this is an issue. It feels identical to last year, which was fairly accurate so long the connection was good.

Yeah I had 2 in like the first 10 mins of practice hitting and it was on Legend...the DD guys are complaining cause it doesn't come every 5 at bats. This tech thing might be a bad idea cause these guys will complain the game is too hard and SDS might make it easier.

Only played 1 Event game so far and Patrick Wisdom thinks power is fine as he went 3-3 with 3 HRs. HOF seems slow but maybe that’s just because there aren’t any great pitchers in this event. Ideally want to see someone with outlier but I did notice that Chapman when I brought him in wasn’t hitting over 100 consistently so maybe they finally fixed outlier

What heck do people keep saying they make the world series every year?. Is this some online fluff mode?. I play Franchise with a 50 hour matured slider set on Legend hitting and pitching with max pitch speeds and the game is just about the correct difficulty. You guys that think hitting is too hard on HOF are ones that don't practice enough or you're playing on a TV.

You can't compare offline hitting or difficulty to online, it's not even close to the same.

Good swing outcomes seem like they are outs more often than early swing outcomes are outs. I hit more early/just early homeruns than good/good hits. I’d like to see more balls in gaps tbh.

Yeah you're prolly right, online is a hot mess of lag and super slow pitch speeds, a 97 mph fast ball would seem like a 70 mph knuckleball to me.

For me it needs a few tweaks, good contact and ball goes left foul or right foul. An the most popular one for me pop up rite at someone. Those hits should be bloop singles IMO
