From the complaints in this forum...

The number of people who spam the L2 in attempt to screw up the pinpoint pitching to force a meatball down the middle. I think this is a huge issue and I am surprised that it hasn't been brought up in this forum.

[censored], I been hitting the wrong button I guess. My runners always take off when I hit L2.

It's the R2 button, but yes you're right it is a lame tactic but easy to counter. As soon as I see my opponent do this once, I take my time until he's done and then start the motion. Annoying, but an easy fix.

Maybe try coming to a complete stop. R2 is there for a reason. Take a breath and slow down.

This exactly. They will get annoyed with you taking the time to counter their BS and stop

Haha! It seems like I always put the wrong left/right buttons in my posts. My hands know the correct buttons to push, but my brain doesn't know. Plus, I don't do these cheesy tactics.

Yeah, I usually will step off the mound when I see it pop up.

It’s R2. Ive complained about this for years. Nobody cares. They can exploit R2 as much as they want but I can only step off the rubber a finite amount of times which I think is complete BS. However, a previous gentleman is correct. If you slow the game down to a brutal crawl, they usually knock it off. I made a game take 90 minutes once for this guy that would not lay off R2. It sucks but until SDS gets rid of it, they will ALWAYS exploit it.
